Get me lost in Iowa

At various times, mvsta has both jumped and puked off of the bridge in Otranto. Just saying.

At 250, Grafton may be too big for inclusion here. Great town though, especially during Turkey Days.

I've done this with the Stacyville bridge, during a particularly out-of-control Brat Days.

Good call on Turkey Days. I've seen some **** go down there.

Everly home to the cattle feeders and The Ranch, best bar in Northwest Iowa
Sounds like you are someone who knows the area well. I actually graduated from Everly HS back in the day. Have a younger brother who was in the last class to graduate from Everly before in bacame CC-E.

I know it decently well, I'm not from there by did marry the owner of The Ranch 's daughter

People are including towns that have 1-A school districts! Don't know what small town Iowa is I guess...

That is true but some 1-A schools - 3A schools have anywhere from 6-9 towns to make that school.

Examples:

IKM-Manning
Irwin, Kirkman, Manilla, Manning, Aspinwall, Botna, Defiance, Fiscus, Gray, Red Line

Harlan
Harlan, Defiance, Kirkman, Earling, Westphalia, Panama, Persia, Corley, Tennant

With the combination of so many school, open enrollment exploded since towns like Kirkman are a lot closer to Harlan than Manning but Kirkman's taxes still go to IKM-Manning.

I still predict that in the next decade, all smaller schools will start closing and each county will only have only 1-2 schools. So all students in Shelby county will go to Harlan, Carroll county will go to Carroll High or Carroll Kuemper, etc...

My grandma went to Everly...I always enjoyed the picture of her softball team with "Cattlefeederettes" across the jersey.

I submit Royal.

My wife grew up in Quasqueton IA, but Masonville, IA is about 5 miles away. The town is 3 streets.

How does she pronounce it? Even people who live in the area couldn't seem to agree when I was growing up. We always just called it Quaskie. If we did pronounce the who thing we said KWAS-ku-tun. I've also heard kwas-KWE-tun.

I remember some good fun in Masonville. My brother dated a girl from there.

I don't know if it was true but I had heard at one time years ago Starmont School District was the largest in the state at about 400 square miles. That would be roughly 20 by 20. Starmont included the towns of Strawberry Point, Arlington and Lamont. I wonder how big the largest one is now. It's probably 3 times that size.

Gotta love the Testicle Festival in Craig

Always loved the Silver Lake Saloon in Ayrshire or the basement bar of the Thunderbird in Ruthven.

Also spent quite a bit of time fishing and drinking in Linn Grove

Buck Grove - Highest point in town is the highway that passes by it.
Corley - Antique store, community building and "Corley International Airport."
After retiring from farming, my father was the mayor of Buck Grove.

I"ll throw out Grant City... North of Auburn. And I'll also add Knoke. Which has more livestock in town then people.
