Twisted by the Dark Side he is.
Uninformed - so uninformed.
Nebraska didn't leave because of Texas' greed, they left because of their own ego. Nebraska is just as greedy as Texas is, voted along the same lines as Texas for more than a decade to attain the same goals as Texas. But yet they lost out in the battle for power. Perhaps they should have learned to be nationally relevant on the football field WITHOUT using partial qualifies instead of being noisy ******* about not being able to use them. But then again, Nebraska's entire football history and relevance were built on partial qualifies. I honestly don't get the public sympathy for Nebraska - their stated reasons for going to the Big 10 are the very things they were outright opposed to in the Big 12 (equal revenue sharing, BFN, etc). Nebraska is nothing more than a whiny hypocrite that somehow got the public to feel sorry for them.
As far as Colorado, they didn't leave for the Pac 10 to get away from Texas, they left to get into the Pac 10 before Texas brought BAYLOR with them. They were not trying to get away from Texas, they were trying to not be the school left in a crumbling conference.
I'm not saying that Texas is blameless, but your blatant and gross misinformation has led you to place the lion's share of the blame at the wrong set of feet. At least Texas has tried to hold this conference together - that's far more than Nebraska can say, which is openly praying for the demise of the Big 12 so their butt hurt feels better...
Um, Remember when the B12 formed? UNL said the same things then as they did last year, that the revenue sharing was whack. They didn't like it then, and they didn't like it last year either. CU left mainly from the timing, but the imbalance of $ was a main factor in all of this; do you think CU would of left on its own merits?
PS; the main reason UT is trying to hold this conference together is because no other conference will allow the unequal revenue sharing they enjoy. LHN is gone if they go B10 or Pac12.
Double PS: If you are reading this as some kind of sympathy for UNL, you are sorely mistaken...
