A Crane has arrived!!

Im computer illiterate so what does that mean sorry!!

There is a way to directly access the camera. Unfortunately, that way can only handle so many people.

Iowa State has set up a site that grabs whats on that first way and is re-sending it out, here- WebCam - Stadium Scoreboard , but things are getting really slow and jerky because more people are trying to get into the first way than it can handle.

He's saying the internet is like a series of tubes, and that there is currently too much water filling those tubes. So you can't see it.

You can't see the water? Are the tubes clear? My momma always told me to keep water away from anything electrical. Why is there water in the internet, then?

I see they are hooking the big crane on the west side to the scoreboard.

Looks like on the west end they have two nylon straps per each pick point. 12" web width 4-ply strands each carry 66000 pounds vertical. So 8 of these will be used in total at almost $6,000 total price of slings themselves. Not positive but it seems like a lift of this magnitude you'd use brand new slings instead of used stressed ones.

Hard to tell from a distance and in comparison with everything else but I'd assume those nylon straps are massive in size.

You need big straps and shackles for a big erection! Everyone giggle now.

Just returned from scoreboard site. East support tower is going up now. Talked with Inspector--they need two hours with wind of 8 mph or less (on top of Jacobsen Bldg)to lift and place superstructure over Jacobsen.
According to Inspector, structure is ~175 ft by 42 ft and overall height will be 125 ft high when in place.

Has JP confirmed or denied that there will be snipers on the pressbox shoot any drunk studet who tries to climb that thing after our next big home win? I'm sure they'll make this really hard, but that thing is just asking for it, and college kids are pretty creative when they want something.

Side note: the sprinklers are currently running on the playing surface. I thought mid-day was a bad time to water?
