A Crane has arrived!!

Better today than yesterday. Yesterday was way too windy for almost anything, except drying clothes on a line.

I thought today was supposed to be very windy too.....of course, when isn't it windy in Ames?

This brings to mind the question, are we sure this scoreboard is going to be able to withstand severe weather? :jimlad:

Is the video feed not working for other people?? I saw the crane pull in but then it's like I lost the video feed and so I wonder if everyone else lost it as well.

The only thing is they have the crane there but only 2 segments in the lay down area. Shouldn't take them that long to get those set and they'll need more segments

No video for me either.

Looks like they are getting ready to lift up/install the 1st support beam here fairly soon.

Can someone take a screenshot so the rest of us can see. "503 service unavailable, the maximum number of clients are already connected

Here you go.

It's now upright. They did a pretty smooth job on standing it up. Standing up something of that size is always tricky no matter how many times you've done it.

Should get interesting when they have to swing it into position. Watch them take a chunk out of the Jacobson Building..

This is the thread I embedded the video into, but it's not working there either. Just in case anyone wanted to try checking it there.

Oh wow I thought it was actually next to the jacobson bldg. Or are they just staging that piece?

EDIT: Nevermind i'm an idiot. The pads are back next to the jacobson. They were just standing it up.
