I visited HN to read a few good meltdowns, and my one post there was to track down that piece of **** TarHeelHawk and call him out when DJK got arrested for running a drug house. He once told me it was insane to assert the idea that Iowa City had a cocaine culture, which might contribute to the higher incidents of bar violence.

The site runs horribly. Everything loads slow and adds block **** up everywhere. What a dump.

I never cared for Jon Miller. My elderly grandmother lives near him and her beloved dog, Lafester Roadie, wanders from time to time and was recently struck by a car. Miller happened to pass by and rendered aid to Roadie. Being Grandma doesnt drive, Miller transported the dog to a emergency vet(btw ISU grad).

Long story short, Roadie is doing well and when my grandmother had my Aunt Gertrude take her over to pick up the dog, Jon Miller had paid for it's care.

I have newfound respect for Jon Miller altho I dont care for the guy he does the games with, Joe Morgan.

Grandma feels Morgan kept Santo out of the HOF.

You are the greatest fake Cyclone poster this site has ever known. A piece of advice..... when you make up a story to tell on here at least try and make it a story that someone might actually believe. Just saying....

He's basically a beat writer for the Hawks, so of course he is going to write fluff pieces about the coaches. I would expect CW does the same for our coaches. Even if Rhoads or Mayor did something grievous I would expect CW to fall in line and try to deflect the bad press and show the coaches in a positive light. Do you think guys like Sipple in Lincoln or Chip Brown in Austin don't do pieces like this?

I normally do not post things, but recently a friend sent me this link, which is a Jon Miller essay about how wonderful Kirk Ferentz is.

After reading it, I added a post on hawkeyenation under this thread stating:

"Every college program does service work for the community that the university is located and every coach does special PR for deserving families. It is wonderful that this special attention was given to this deserving family, but please do not make Ferentz out to be some sort of saint..."

Within minutes, my post was deleted from the thread and when I tried to log back in using my log on, I received the message that I had been banned for no specific reason and the ban would never be lifted..

I could see this type of action if I was inflammatory or inappropriate in some way, but for giving an opinion?

I guess Jon Miller never wants to hear anything negative about his idol....

Since your post was deleted, I'd be curious to see what it really said compared to what you retyped here before I pass judgment.

To be brutally honest the same thing could be said about us until the mods moved all the rivalry threads off of the main page.

In my defense, I typically post over there regarding only ISU and Michigan topics and it's usually only in the respect of facts. They start talking and have no idea what they are talking about most of the time. I don't think I have ever posted in a discussion that didn't pertain to ISU or Michigan. I try desperately to keep it to facts when I do post in an effort to inform them. I do however, enjoy when someone puts up a picture of the guy they claim is ShadasRevenge. That's funny.

Also, what is TarHeelHawks user name over there out of curiosity.

This reminds me about the Big Ten Network story on the Hawkeye football team going to Parkersburg and helping out. UNI and ISU spent much more time there but Iowa got the documentary and national praise. Go figure.

I don't really understand why you would think the Big Ten Network would do a story on the ISU or UNI teams. Would you expect the Big 12 studio show to comment on Iowa in that same situation?
