Prediction Thread

Prediction: Neither Clayborn or Stanzi make it to the second half. If Clayborn thinks EIU was gunning for him, wait till Saturday after his smart *** comments this summer, he will get knocked out by someone, maybe even Arnuad lowering the boom on him. Stanzi still wont be the same on his knee, for some reason he can not play on that field turf and if watched him in the second half Saturday he could not plant his foot in the ground.

For the Hawk fans talking about Jewell Hampton, can the guy play a game first, he has not stepped on the field in a year and half and has not been hit by anyone outside his own scout team. He had a serious knee injury! We will we what happens the first time ISU tackles him at his knee.

Defensive player of the game, David Sims, he will be locked in for his first game of the season.

I'd be worried about Clayborn knocking out one of your players-and certainly your starting QB won't be the one doing it :wideeyed: Nice post!

Offensive player of the game, Colin Franklin, they have no that can stop this guy.
ISU wins 17-14.

We haven't scored a single touchdown against Iowa in a very, very long time. To pull out a victory, we have to first score a TD, and I am not sure if that will happen Saturday. The TD-less drought may last another year.

I wish I shared the confidence of so many people here, but I don't.

Iowa wins 24-14. The only way this changes is if Iowa State scores first and keeps even with Iowa until the 4th quarter. If Iowa goes up by anything more than a touchdown I feel that Arnaud will not be patient enough to keep things close. Scoring early and playing back and forth will allow Arnaud to be patient.

24-13 Iowa.

Northwestern gives Iowa fits because they take what Iowa gives them. I don't know if Arnaud has the patience to do that. You aren't going to beat Iowa on big plays, you just have to carve them 20 to 20 and make things happen in the red zone.

This game is going to be very tough for isu to even keep close. They cant have any tournovers and i just do not trust Arnaud and his decision making especially in Iowa City. Iowa state also needs to force tournovers because I feel Iowa will move the ball at will against us. Our punting situation is just flat out scary also. We will be punting the ball more than once against Iowa and if we shank some punts like we did against Northern Illinois, field position comes into play.

Iowa 34
ISU 10

I pray its the other way around but Iowa is just to good and they have the BEST defensive line in the nation.

Why dont you look up the last time iowa gave up 30+ points.

I did. To Indiana in 2007.

That's 30 games without the opponent cracking the 30-point mark.

We'll smash Iowa Saturday for sure.

Actually, it was three games later vs. Purdue. They lost 31-6. I don't think we are going to put 30 on the board next week, but I would surprised if Iowa die either.

Lay that one on the horrible play call in the end zone by O'Keefe.
You havent explained away my post yet, where i clearly prove the point that everyone else is making. not that stanzi has been the cause of losses, but that iowa has had good enough support to win in spite of his ****** performances

I think he left after his "Purdue beat Ohio State" blunder.

I'm sorry, a team that has been to four bowl games in six years and is predicted to go undefeated in their conference is a cupcake? :biglaugh: Sure it isn't Alabama but Christ's sake NIU would could probably beat up the bottom half of the Big Ten.

Am I supposed to be impressed that Iowa beat a 1AA school by thirty? ISU would have done about the same. In fact I was a little disappointed that Iowa's first national championship team couldn't put more points on the board against such an outmatched foe.

If you honestly don't know the difference between NIU and EIU I'm sorry for ripping you. But EIU would be NIU's JV squad.

NIU cant throw a vertical pass. They wouldnt beat anyone in the Big 10 this year.

Same predictions, different year. Iowa State will win if this happens, if this happens, if this happens, etc...................................................

You mean Big 12.

Big 10 is a different story. We all know what an inferior conference you are from an on the field stand point.
