Charles Boozer To Transfer

I for one will be somewhat happy when all the players that had anything to do with Coach McDermott are gone. Is it bad that Boozer is transferring, sure, I guess it's bad for him. Sounds like he has some demons that were let loose the other night that he has to deal with and I wish him the best in the future.

Does this really change anything for the basketball team though? I don't think so. Boozer showed some good hustle on the court at times but that was about it. He was as big of a waste of a scholarship as we've had at ISU. A walk-on could easily do what he was going to give us on the court this year.

Either BEP/Anger Management or Substance Abuse Treatment

Based on my experience in these case, the likely treatments if he committed the offense are Batterers' Education Program (BEP) plus anger management, substance abuse treatment, or both. If there are no substance abuse issues, then just BEP and anger management.

The writing was all over the wall, I mean come on people, he came out with a video earlier this month stating he was on something, hopefully he finds the treatment he needs..

PS: does anyone know a place that treats "Boozer ****"

What does this mean?

Good luck to CB. He was really good hustle player. I hope him the best! No need to worry about our program. I bet FH has plans to sign another guard to fill the spot this year.... Ricky Rubio perhaps...

Fanatics ---

Can we please leave any unconfirmed information about the victim in this very serious case off of the message board. The last thing that we need here is speculation. Thanks very much.

Anyone else bothered by the press release title? - "Charles Boozer to Transfer" - he's essentially being "let go," "forced" out, he's "leaving" because he ****ed up bigtime and his actions and behavior have caused him not to deserve to be a part of the team next year. Using the phrase "Charles Boozer to Transfer" reads like he's leaving the program on his own because he's unhappy with something. If I were an outsider, I would read that title and say "ha, Cyclones hire a new coach and players still want to get out of that mess" when this situation obviously is nothing like that.

I'm not worried about it but it's definitely misleading.

This is true.

I guess I'm not understanding why people take issue with something such as Charles Boozer or Greg McDermott leaving ISU unless someone (such as Hoiberg or Pollard) goes into d-bag mode by suspending/firing them. Why isn't it enough that neither person is here anymore - why is it they have to be publicly humiliated/shamed by those in authority before some fans are satisfied?

No.

Anyone who cares in the least has already seen the story of Boozer's arrest. It was prominent on ESPN's site for Pete's sake! That info along with the comments of finding treatment clearly paint a different picture.

They are probably stating that they came to a mutual decision for Boozer to transfer so they can do this quickly without him claiming he was kicked off the team without due process.

Don't really how see all of you are on Boozer's side if he slapped and kicked a woman? I liked him a lot, but screw him if he is gonna do that.
