Which programs will be knocking on Mr. Rhoads door?

I just couldn't imagine CPR wanting to be anywhere else. And I sure as hell don't want him anywhere else either.

This was the consensus about Chizik, that his family would make him stay. Now the consensus is Chizik was "going to jump at the first opportunity." :biglaugh:

I just hope JP is ready to pop out the check book.

The difference is Rhoads is from here and a lot of his family is around. When asked what he missed about Iowa he alwasy says family.

I just hope we don't ask him to leave. He's a good man with a plan. Somthing the *** did not have, a plan for success. I'll donate my 10 Million credits to keep him.

And we are ready for another round of Cyclone fan codependency. I hope PR stays as long as he is successful, but I fully believe anyone can be hired away if the situation is right and I don't understand ISU fans' need to have lifer coaches as head coaches. Even great coaches occasionally need to move on just to breath new life into stale programs.

I don't see CPR leaving for anything less than $20 million a year at another university. Honestly, he has everything he needs here. His family is close by, he is coaching at a Big 12 school where he has roots, and if we can keep winning I don't see him leaving for anything. The only way he leaves is if he gets fired because of a string of 0 win seasons, which I don't ever see happening.

The real question is when are we going to lose Herman and who to?

LOL -- A pink slip from Rhoads at the rate he's going right now.

In all seriousness, he has a history at Texas, so I could see that happening if he showed REAL success at the Big 12 level.

As far as Rhoads is concerned, my gut says he'll never leave, but I'm done saying that a coach will never leave.

Rhoads just doesn't strike me as the type of man that cares about money or attention. It seems to me he is perfectly happy living the simple life in Iowa. That is what State needs. That type of guy. If you thought GC wasn't jumping ship when he got the chance, you were probably a little delusional.

you guys are like high schoolers falling in love the first time and all thinking about marriage by your second date. He's great but lets not pencil the guy in for lifetime contracts just yet. It will just set you up to A) look stupid if he doesn't succeed, or B) really hurt when he Cael Sandersons you. 6 win seasons will buy him 8-10 years like McCarney and then he better have put up something significant or fans will rightfully get restless and choose to roll the dice again.
