Classless Hawk fans....

Iowa fans talk a ton of **** about ISU on hawk boards but you don't see me on there posting. This trend of hawk trolls on here intrigues me.
I don't see much Iowa State talk on hawkeyenation. And about three posters in the RIVALS section of hawkeyereport, and the only cyclone talk on the hawkeyereport is in the rivalry section, which has way less activity than this one.

20 full minutes since the last attempt to prove EIU has a bigger weiner?! Uh oh! Time to stir the fire!

I cant wait til we beat Iowa at JT this year so all the mouth breathers will shut the **** up!

Carry on with the debate/discussion, Ill be making popcorn. :jimlad:

That was a reference on how overrated the Big 10/11 is but as we can all see that went flying way over your head.

Interesting you brought up the Pac 10 and their bowl record... Don't they play several bowl games each year against the Big 10/11? Don't look now but you are making his case for him.

If by several you mean 1, you are correct. Most years the Rose Bowl is the only game played between the Big Ten and Pac Ten. At least this Century that is how it generally works. The Big Ten used to be tied to the Sun Bowl I think it was where it was like the 6th or 7th place Big Ten team against the 5th place Pac Ten team in Tempe, AZ. That has been done for some time now though.

I think the Big 12 plays the Pac 10 more in recent years and they have not faired well.

But I will also admit; USC has owned the Big 10 in the past 7-8 years for the most part.

Oh PUKE!!! Here it is I was waiting for it, and ta-da!!! The classic we were almost unbeatable last year.

Iowa Hawkeyes...almost always undefeated.

Ta....da...u wish you could say something to the same affect. Iowa had a very good team last year and they got stronger as the year went on. Only ISU fans like yourself won't admit that.

You all only want to point out that South Carolina didn't want to even be in the Outback Bowl and that is why Iowa won by so much. BS.....no collegiate athlete at that level wants to get embarrassed on ESPN, even if it is at 11am on New Years day.

Iowa dominated them.

Someone said it best earlier. The most classless fans are always going to be the fans of your biggest rival. ISU fans by majority think Iowa fans or Nebraska fans are the most classless; those are their two biggest rivals. Someone pointed out that Minnesota fans hate Wisconsin and Iowa; Minnesota's two biggest rivals.

Check Texas' blogs; they hate Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Oklahoma. Check Florida's; they hate Tennesse, Georgia and Alabama. Florida St hates Miami and Florida.

It's pretty simple if you think about it. Poll any fanbase on who they think is most classless and 9 times out of 10 its going to be their biggest rival.

As an Iowa fan I do not think ISU is the most classless although I have seen plenty of classless acts taken by their fan base. I have been to Madison, WI, Columbus, OH and Boulder, CO and those 3 fanbases were the most classless I have come across. Granted they are much larger fan bases in general than ISU, but they were pretty bad.

By Boulder, CO, you mean University of Colorado? The same school that has averaged lower attendances in both football and basketball than ISU over the past 3 years? I wouldn't say CU has a "much larger fanbase" than ISU when their attendance in the two major sports is less than ISU's...

Boulder is the Iowa City of the Big 12, if you will. Or maybe Iowa City is the Boulder of the Big 10. Either way, both schools are the most popular in their home state, despite the actual population of the university being made up of A) hippies, or B) spoiled ****** bags from out of state....

WOW we are still debating on this thread.... Ketel even admitted he didn't know if it was a Hawk fan or not.. He assumed.

Some people will find any reason to ***** about the Hawks. Sad this thread has got this far along.:skeptical:

OK, now I feel included. Carry on.

Cmon, how many times a day do you come across some jack off from Chicago w/a popped collar and have to resist the urge to beat him to w/in inches of his life? My friends who live in Iowa City constantly bemoan the fact that there aren't many real Iowans there, and they have to deal w/hippies and ******** from out of state all the time. They're Iowa students and Hawk fans, for the record, so this isn't some ISU conspiracy...

Have you been to a game in Boulder before??? Trust me...there are more people in attendance for at least the pregrame festivities than there are in Ames. You are correct, it's a big party and a lot of the people probably don't care about the game at all.

It is not like Iowa City in that sense. Iowa's fanbase is pretty loyal overall and I would say 90% of the people tailgating at least attend part of the game.

There are a lot of kids in IC from the chicago area but to say the "majority" is made up of out of state ******** would be an exaggeration. The majority of students are in-state students.

Many Iowa fans have an exaggerated opinion of where Iowa falls in the grand scheme of college football. I won't disagree with that. The team created that with 3 straight top ten finishes. The team created it again last year finishing strong and being within one play of winning every game.

The thread was started to show that Iowa has the worst fans or most classless fans and that just isn't the case.

Read your OP, I'm not talking about USC you finished 9-4 you Beat Penn State and South Carolina in a bowl game. The hawks beat 1 ranked team in the final standings!

You talk though as if the 2008 hawkeye team was at TOP 10 team you're as whacked out as the rest of the fan base and the fact that you HAVE TO defend your team on a Cyclone board tells me that nobody on a hawkeye board takes you seriously either.

Troll away.

Have you ever been to a game in Ames? There are TONS of people out for pre-game festivities. Just as many, if not more, than actually go to the game, unfortunately. Texas fans have told me that Iowa State's tailgating is the best in the conference, and they had been everywhere, including Boulder. It's hard to argue w/the efficiency and ease of ISU's set up, along w/lax alcohol rules, and a pretty devoted fanbase. I agree that most people in Iowa City who tailgate go the game, but I think part of that is because, unless you know somebody who has access to a good spot in Iowa City, it isn't that conducive to just showing up and tailgating, like Ames is. If you were tailgating in Iowa City, and had no intention of going to the game, then you must be hardcore about finding some place to drink socially at 8AM...

That bowl was a joke. It was plain and simple a product of the proliferation of too many bowls. Neither team deserved to be in a Jan 1 bowl game. To be fair, I can admit that Iowa was far better than South Carolina. I actually think South Carolina was thrilled to be there. They knew they had no business there but, yet, they were rewarded for a craptastic season. I would hope to hell that a powerhouse Big 10 team like Iowa would have dominated what might have quite possibly have been the worst SEC bowl team in the field. Looking forward to some of your faulty Hawkeye logic.....

You don't need to "know" anyone to get a decent parking spot at Iowa. Just like at Iowa State, if you're a season ticket holder, donor, and/or I-Club member, you can park pretty close to the stadium - right next to the press box.

It's the same way at ISU. The more you've ponied up to show your support, the closer your parking pass.
