Rotations with Jaz Back

With Jaz being back to full strength here in the next few weeks, it will be interesting to see how TJ reincorporates him. The first obvious question is whether Gabe goes back to the bench. He's playing the best basketball of his life right now and I'd hate to mess with it. You've also had King come into the fold and Watson carve out a case for more minutes since Jaz went down. You also have Ward looking effective defensively when he gets in.

I'd have to imagine Jaz's minutes will come at the expense of Jones. I love his energy but he's really struggling to finish around the rim right now. I just don't know who else you can justify playing less.

In any event, a good problem to have. But it will be an interesting coaching challenge to get Jaz back into the mix on a team that's rolling right now without effecting what they have going. Luckily we have a coach that you have full faith in to figure it out!

I see people all over the “give me Lipsey over Hunter” angle - which I won’t disagree with - but can we talk about how good Holmes was tonight?

He is quiet about it - as announcers rightfully pointed out tonight several times - but I think his contributions this year have been under appreciated. Or at least not talked about enough.

Not flashy, but he’s absolutely been getting it done. His last bucket and then taking charge on the other end was very well the mail in the coffin tonight.

21 points on 13 shots, 3 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, no TO. Took at least one charge and no fouls.

In a super intense game he had his head screwed on straight the entire time.

Bartelt hasn’t lost or been taken down in a match since he began wrestling for South Dade three years ago.

Wrestling star Sawyer Bartelt, a 220-pound junior, hasn’t lost a high school match — or suffered even a takedown — since he arrived at South Dade as a freshman.

That’s a string of 86 nearly-flawless matches.

A two-time Florida and USA champion, Bartelt seems destined to leave South Dade with four state championships to his credit.

Last month, Bartelt verbally committed to Iowa State, choosing the Cyclones after also making visits to North Carolina and Penn.
