Flipping through the games last night when I saw **** Vitale give his top under the radar players ( or something like that). He listed 5 but spent almost the entire time talking about Tyrese. Unusual to hear Vitale talk about anyone that doesn't play for Duke, UNC, KU, UK, MSU, or Louisville.

I would enjoy if someone could use these 2 tickets in section 238.

The only thing that I'm asking is.....you MUST take a "child" (K-12 grade) to the Cyclone game with you to experience Hilton Magic and please don't resale the tickets.

Nice article about Lazard's rise to prominence in the Green Bay offense. As befits an Iowan and a Cyclone, it sounds like Allen has done things the right way (no hok references, please!) to get where he is today.

As a longtime Packer fan, Lazard has taken on the role Randall Cobb previously had - slot receiver, but also the guy who, when the play breaks down, can find a spot where he is open and Rodgers can get him the ball. So much fun to watch as a Cyclone fan, and a Packers fan.

Cyclone MBB video/gif historians unite!

I was having a discussion with someone following a high school game last night, and I was trying to tell them when DeAndre Kane did the inbound pass off of Woodbury to score a few years back. I wanted to show them the video of it but I can't find it.

So, knowing how much everyone loves seeing that play on a loop, I figured I'd ask for all of your help. Thanks!

This is the only time I’ll post here and I’ll delete my account soon after but I was curious what your fanbase thinks. Over on the K-State rivals board we had a poll before the game Saturday and the question was: Is Iowa State a rival? The result care back as Yes: 261 No: 166.

I wanted to see if you guys over here think of Kansas State as a rival now. Consensus over on our site was that at first “Farmaggedon” seemed like a manufactured attempt at a rivalry after Mizzou and Nebraska left the conference. But now it has become somewhat real with Matt Campbell as coach and you guys having a good team. Thoughts?

Also best of luck in your bowl game!

I was looking through the roster and didn't realize that Kolar was a RS Sophomore. Is there any chance that he leaves for the NFL draft after this year? He'll likely be first team all Big 12 and short of the Mackey award (BS he wasn't a finalist this year) i'm not sure what else he has to prove in college. Also seems like kids are declaring for the draft earlier and earlier.

Everyone who is being negative has not been thru what most cyclone fans have had for football teams thru the times of criner, chizik, early part of mcarney, and then the ending of paul rhoads.

This team was in ever single game this year with a chance to win!
This team was was always being talked about on all the media outlets (espn, fox, etc)
This team had a soph quarterback that led the Big 12 in passing (never has happened for isu)
This team had a soph TE have over 600 yards of receiving (never happened at isu)
This team had 4 receivers over 600 yards of receiving
This team had a true freshman running back coming in half way thru season and rush for over 600 yards
This team has 7 wins for the 3rd year in a row and Big 12 winning record for 3rd year in a row
So please lay off the negative crap and be happy that we are not being 1-11 or 2-10 every year

I predict Jamie Pollard will seize the moment and inject some good news into the fan base following a tough loss to K-State and sign Campbell to an extension. This will help build some additional excitement around our 3rd bowl trip in 3 years. It will be another positive for bowl reps making decisions one week from today.

It will happen this week - perhaps as early as Tuesday.

Let's face it, the OL needs to be improved next year, or we'll be looking at 6 or 7 wins again.

So can it be improved after losing 4 starters next year? I do think there's hope that it can be, but I wonder if CMC is considering adding a JUCO or a transfer? Thoughts?

You have to figure the starters (and a few backups) will look something like this....

T- Ramos/Foster
G- Hudson
C- Newell/Schweiger
G- Downing
T- Treiber/Foster

..... and then others in the mix will be... Hufford, Remsburg, Kleinow, Ross, Simmons... with true freshman coming in... Tyler Miller, Pauls, Petersen, and Rengert.

I just think looking at the youth and inexperience of that starting 5 that CMC might be thinking of adding a more experienced JUCO or transfer into the mix?
