Flipping through the games last night when I saw **** Vitale give his top under the radar players ( or something like that). He listed 5 but spent almost the entire time talking about Tyrese. Unusual to hear Vitale talk about anyone that doesn't play for Duke, UNC, KU, UK, MSU, or Louisville.

Under radar guys don't play for those teams.

One thing I'll give credit to guys like Vitale and Walton--they at least celebrate the players as college basketball players playing college basketball.

Most of the rest of the hacks just talk pro prospects and blue bloods.

i wasn’t using the “f” word.....I just like using his first name because it’s starred out....

What kind of player would Iowa State need to have for him to NOT be under the radar? The second coming of Lebron?

Yeah, a lot of it comes off as a commercial for the NBA.

Niang, Morris.... Haliburton is under the radar because he wasn't a start until this season. If he comes back next year he wont be under the radar anymore. Has little to do with him playing for Iowa State.

Amazing thing about Dickie V is that if you watch an old game from say the Fab Five days or around that time (25 years ago) it's amazing how different he was. He was still goofy and excitable, but he was actually a fairly good color guy. Seems like the marketing or shtick took over and that's about all there has been since then.
