virginia tonight. woof.

down by 8 they score a TD with less than a minute to go.
personal foul on UVA after the play for and OL head-butting a player from NC state after the play

virginai miraculously converts the 17 yard 2pt conversion
unsportsmanlike conduct. QB's helmet was kind of coming off due to defender's hand pushing up on his facemask. QB kind of assists it coming off but instead of putting it back on, he drops it to the ground and flexes to the home crowd. 15 yards enforced on the kickoff. 30 some sec left

NC state returns to around the 50. 3 playes, 3 gains.
48 yarder by virginia
BLOCKED!

nope. personal foul for jumping over the line to block kick.
33 yarder good on the ensuing fg attempt

lose by 3 as time expires.

I have loved sports all my life. As a kid, I read every inch of the the newspaper sports page daily. I loved watching baseball, football, basketball and other sports on TV. Most of my free time was spent playing some type of sport/game. For much of my life sports have been entertainment and a source of enjoyment.

Now with social media available to us all, we get to interact and see the opinions of others during our favorite sporting events. After watching Brock play last night and having watched our football team so far this season, I was thinking about the impact social media has on my viewing experience. What are your thoughts?

Friday OT #2 - Dichotomies and Superlatives

Follow me on this one - I am not sure it is going to make sense.

I had a woman stood next to me this week at a mixer. Very nice lady, we chatted about the weather and other random niceties.

From the outside, I realized as we got a few glances, we must have looked incredibly different. She was legitimately well over 7 foot; I am 5’2” in shoes. Her hair is stick straight, mine is super naturally curly.

It made me think of how people would boil me down to compare me to others, and what one- or two-word adjectives they’d use.

Physically - short, fair, curly haired
Personality - dry/sarcastic, independent, stubborn

If someone had to boil you down to five or six adjectives to describe you, what would they say? How would they compare you against someone else?

Friday OT #1 - Faking It

I was just at a work conference this week that was almost entirely about the use of AI, with specific applications in certain industries. It was really interesting to hear some of the biggest technical minds of our generation, including a former CEO of Google, talk about how they use generative AI today and how they think it should be used going forward.

Do you use AI in your day-to-day? Yesterday I used it to:

- Help me write an empathetic business thank you note
- Seed the beginning wording of a personal bio
- Help me write a pun from an acronym

Those are pretty disparate uses - do you use it at all?
