Changes in enforcement by referees

What have you observed this season as changes in enforcement of rules by referees this year?

Here are two that I have wondered about:

1. Traveling. It seems much less frequent for refs to make a traveling call on a player who makes a quick move from outside. It seems less frequent in MBB, WBB, and even high school games.

2. Benches. I've seen refs at men's and women's games yelling and motioning at players and assistant coaches to sit down. Only the head coach seems to be allowed to stand up. Are there actual rules about this?

Chiefs watch party deaths

Really weird story that I haven't seen much coverage of.

"Three Kansas City Chiefs fans were found frozen to death in the backyard of their friend’s home, where they had gathered to watch a game — but the homeowner is insisting he had “no knowledge” that their bodies had possibly been there for two days.

The bodies of David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, were found on the evening of Jan. 9 after the fiancée of one of the men requested a welfare check, Kansas City police told Fox Digital.

One man’s body was found on the back porch of the NW 83rd Terrace home, while the other two were discovered in the backyard.

But Jordan Willis, the man who was renting the home, had “no knowledge” that his friends were freezing to death on his property after they had watched Kansas City take on the LA Chargers in the last game of NFL regular season play on Jan. 7, police said."

Movie Remakes - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

With endless remakes over the past several years and for the foreseeable future, what have you liked, hated, etc?

When growing up in the 90s, I watched movies like Roadhouse, Tango & Cash, Under Siege, Goonies, etc a lot (even though probably a little young for them). There are certain movies that to me are off limits - Roadhouse and Tango & Cash are prime examples.

I see that Prime is coming out with a new Roadhouse remake. I'm highly disappointed they're labeling it as a remake because it looks so different from the original and Swayze cannot be replicated. It does however look like a good no-thinking necessary action movie on it's own. But a remake it is not.

A good example to me is Lion King - I think the live action version was really well done.
