Anyone else catch the Northern Lights last night? Possible the best I've ever seen. I live in Marion and drove 10-12 miles North to get away from CR lights.
Lots of movement and at one point they stretched directly overhead. Pic is brighter then real life but mostly unedited.

My wife has been using Roku about a year ago now. We recently went to streaming with YTTV. She has a subscription for Peacock with Roku. We also have Netflix. I’ve been getting used to it but for the life of me cannot get any of the movies from the Roku channel to play. It just shows the background and movie title when I hit play. Am I not doing something right? Our account is up to date. It’s just frustrating as hell!

I don't know about anyone else, but to ME, the XFL is so much better because they DO play in their hometowns. I know that the USFL is attempting to abandon the "Play in Birmingham Only" strategy, but to date, they have not entirely abandoned it. Also, to me, the maturity of the players is superior to those I'm seeing in the USFL (but yes, this could certainly be the weeks prior to now that the XFL has been playing vs the recently restarted USFL. Finally, I certainly like seeing Hakeem Butler and Willie Harvey, JR (and formerly Mike Rose before he was injured) playing well for the St Louis Battlehawks.

The water tower outside Kinnick Stadium was a signature feature long before the Hawkeyes put their stamp on it with a Tigerhawk. Like the ivy at Wrigley Field or the waterfalls at then-Royals Stadium, the appearance of the water tower was always an early benchmark of “if it’s in the game, it’s in the game.“

So here’s the bad news: The iconic water tower, with its Ferentz-approved Tigerhawk logo finally added in 2018, will be torn down to make room for a new hospital inpatient tower.

What does the early season schedule look like this fall winter? Maybe planning a trip around thanksgiving and maybe catch a game. Hawaii is next year right?

I own a small business that supplies commercial equipment and supplies to the commercial horticulture/greenhouse industry. Currently my site is with GoDaddy and find their templates to be bland with very little presentation flexibility, however, for the last few years its been good enough. Quite often when I am on our site making changes, adding products or general hygiene, it appears that GoDaddy IT is also working on things and my changes don't get published or changes just won't take. Then I have to call in for CSR and at that point I find out that my issue is a known issue that GoDaddy is working on. This happens more than I care to deal with. Today I spent 4 hours trying to get changes published and was told I would get an email when all was fixed. My changes finally happened and no email from GD.

At this point, we don't need complex ecommerce/transaction functions as we offer custom solutions. However, at some point I could see the need for that service with a limited amount of products for reorders. Any who, we are starting to add more products to our site and would like to do more marketing directly from our site and have better presentation. Before I get to far into building the GoDaddy site too far out, I am considering moving to another provider.

Anyone have experience with Wix or Squarespace or other? Good or bad? Do you experience the same issues? Also, do you know if the URL is transferable to another provider?

The NCAA is voted on rule changes today for the 2023 season. The big one that passed is changing the clock stoppage after a first down. Now a first down will have a running clock EXCEPT for in the final two minutes of each half, where the clock will be stopped on gaining a first down.

The other accepted rule changes are:

• One team is no longer allowed to call consecutive time outs. So no more 3 time out icing the kicker.
• Fouls at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters will carry over into the next quarter instead of resulting in an untimed down.

Who do you pick as your top Rock vocalist? Mick Jagger? Tina Turner? Both of those are Octogenarians! Any new voices? One of my top picks the deceased Scott Weiland of STP is "newer" but not recent. Another is the old Tool singer Maynard James Keenan, now of Puscifer. I have to add the best commercial voice is one that at first listen seems average but has moved a mountain of music-Phill Collins and he's on my list.

Rulzzz here pinch hitting for our Friday OT MVP @Angie. This week's topic was one I pitched to her but she suggested saving it for me to do.

The beautiful weather we had in Iowa last week was giving me "I want to play hooky vibes" ala Ferris Bueller.

So topic is what things would you do if you played hooky for a day from school or for most of us work?

Anybody know if there will be concessions open? If not can we bring things to drink in with us? Not beer obviously. Anything else we need to know before deciding to come up on Saturday?
