Looking to see if anyone willing to recommend a financial planning firm in the CR/IC area. Current one is in Des Moines area and I'm looking to move away from them.

What a joke of a coach and a terribly written article. I'm not sure if this was satire or actually trying to lend some legitimacy to UT going to the SEC. My prediction: he won't be the coach of Texas by the time the join the SEC. And good riddance to them. The national media will do anything to hype perceived blue blood programs/coaches and totally miss the good stories. So glad we have CMC instead of this loser.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University is investigating allegations of hazing and other reported concerns related to the Men’s Cyclone Hockey Club.

Based on the serious nature of the allegations, the university has issued an interim suspension of all men’s team activities, effective immediately. This includes team meetings, practice, competition, recruiting and other events. The university’s investigation will focus on team hazing as well as the club’s finances, organizational structure and oversight by Recreation Services.

Cyclone Hockey is a club sport, not associated with ISU Athletics, with three men’s teams. Once the investigation is complete, the university will work with team members on a plan to restructure the club to align with other sport clubs under Recreation Services.

The investigation of Cyclone Hockey is separate and unrelated to the university’s ongoing health and safety review of all sport clubs and proposed recommendations for a sport club policy.

Is this the first announced piece of the new "Alliance"? Pretty bad first announcement if so..

Can someone explain the difference in providing financial support to the wrestling program via the RTC versus going through the athletic department?

For example, what how exactly does supporting the RTC help the program, rather than making a wrestling-specified donation to the athletic department?

My home internet is provided by satellite and is not very good (rural area). There is only one other provider that I could consider switching to.

Q: Does anyone have any experience with a Wifi Booster/Extender? My early internet research hasn’t revealed any brands that are recommended to stay away from or suggest buying. Does CF have any experience with these?

With a nod to “World Laughter Day” (May 1), we indulge laughter-related songs (sort of a flip-side to the crying theme we did in April).

We seek:
(1) Songs that contain audible laughter, or lyrics that allude to laughing (e.g., “ha-ha”)
(2) Songs with titles or lyrics with forms of the word “laugh” (laugh/laughing/laughter)

For lyrical references, we prefer it to be a somewhat prominent part of the song, but it isn’t required (i.e., isolated occurrence is accepted).

Optional: If it's isolated laughter within the clip, note the approximate time stamp.

My first selection is coming with separate post, to get the laughter started.

My daughter is getting a model rocket kit for her birthday and I don't have any experience with them. Does anyone have any good resources to look at? More importantly, are there any laws or regulations associated with them in Iowa I need to be aware of? We have a big field behind our house that I think would be a good place to launch, but not sure how high and far these things will travel.

2022 Gameday shirts are here! Just got these hand delivered my a cheersquad member. No online sales. You need to contact a cheersquad member to get them before the season. Funny that they announced cheersquad members today and they stock them with shirts already. Think they are $20. Have no idea who she contacted. I’m guessing FB Marketplace is where she saw that someone has these.

Usually, there’s only a couple of Cyclones plying on Sundays, but this year, it’s possible we’ll have 10+ Cyclones playing on different teams this year. Lately, I’ve just been watching Lazard and David- but this year, we should have a bunch more to follow.

So- which teams will you follow? I’m really hoping Chase Allen makes it in Chicago…how cool would it be to have TWO Cyclones lining up on offense?

It’s really exciting for our program- we actually draft more than the toe…congratulations to all the Loyal Sons that got the call and let’s keep it rolling!

Hap Whitney who coached Missouri in the 60's and 70's has passed away. ISU wrestlers and fans from that era might remember him.
