He will but it's not ideal because he isn't going to be a backup QB for 4 years. So if you want to move him around, you can't because he needs to be your backup.
Your whole point about other teams not having game experience is irrelevant too. What other teams do/don't have doesn't mean it's fine that we are losing that experience.
Guys, Chubba Purdy will come in and take over the starting job after Brock graduates. I know it, you know it. The only person who doesn't know it is Chubba Purdy.
It’s not irrelevant. You have expectations that Iowa state will have these backups with all sorts of experience and that’s just not how the world works.
Alabama and Notre Dame have backups with experience because, like us, they had someone take over the starting spot a few games into the season. Clemson, the number two team in the country, is starting a freshman quarterback and has two backup quarterbacks that are freshmen. LSU, the number 4 ranked team, has a backup quarterback that’s played two seasons and thrown a total of 54 passes. Michigan, the number 5 team, has a freshman backup that’s thrown 15 passes. Georgia, the number 6 team, has a backup that’s a freshman that I can’t even find stats for. Oklahoma, the number 7 team, has a sophomore backup that’s thrown a career 22 passes, none since 2016.
I can go on and on. The point is, your pining about needing a backup with meaningful experience just isn’t a thing in college football. You’re trying to find a unicorn and then ******** about how bad it’s going to be when we don’t find that unicorn. We’ll be just fine with what we have.

Without pointing out inaccuracies of you examples (Michigan's 4th string QB was their starter for half of last season), I wasn't pining about anything. Having Noland next year would be better than not having him. I don't know what you issue is with that or why you desire to disagree with it so strongly. The other point you refuse to address is that Moore isn't going to play QB here and Mitchell could be being utilized in other places on the field considering we don't have many, if any, guys with his speed and running ability. So it's the cumulative effect of all of these things that makes this not an ideal situation. 1 non-freshman QB on the roster is never ideal and I don't really give a **** what program it is. That's not to mention that Purdy plays the type of game that will lead to an injury.

Noland, a native of Watkinsville, Ga., started five games in his Iowa State career, including four this season. He passed for 722 yards (70-110) and four touchdowns in five games in 2018.
“I want to thank Zeb for his time at Iowa State,” Campbell said. “He notified me of his decision to transfer in order to find more playing time. I respect Zeb’s decision and we will assist him in his process of finding another school.”

I will never understand leaving your team in the middle of the season. He's one injury away from a lot more playing time.
Well for 1, he can spend the time he would have been spending at practice and games visiting potential schools.
This. Coaches can't contact players who are currently on another team, so leaving the team basically opens up the opportunity to do this in order to be at a new school by spring practice.
Can't blame the kid for wanting to play.

If Michigan’s starter for half of last year and he’s fourth string now, apparently they don’t really care about how many snaps he’s taken compared to others. So you’re kind of making my point for me. And so what if Moore or Mitchell aren’t our starters of the future or in the position next year? It’s not like Purdy will be the only quarterback on the roster. There will be others. And the number of snaps they’ve previously taken won’t matter, just like Purdy’s number of snaps taken previously didn’t matter and number of snaps Noland took before Kempt going down didn’t matter and number of snaps Kempt took before Park left didn’t matter.

Take this for what its worth, but this has a lot to do with the progression of Re-al Mitchell. What we are running with Purdy is much easier to transition to Mitchell than Zeb. If Purdy does get hurt we will see Kempt as the primary QB (as we should), but with plenty of packages for Re-al.
