Since it's the last day of the year, how did everybody's teams do this year? This has been the worst sports year of my entire life, by far. If anybody else has this combination of teams...you feel my pain.
NFL- Vikings- 3-12, AP hurt, stadium situation, etc...
MLB - Twins - worst season in the last 10 years. Mauer and Morneau hurt all year..
NBA - T'Wolves - Self explanatory
NCAAB- ISU - long conference season, honestly this was the season i think i enjoyed the most however, as they fought hard every game.
NCAAF - I really enjoyed the team's fire and passion, and we had the biggest win in school history. You know it's been a bad year when a 6-7 team with a bowl loss is the highlight of the year.

Needless to say I'm going to drown many sorrows tonight, and here's to a better 2012!

You did have a rough one.
NCAAF- Beating Iowa and OSU made for a great year.
NCAAB- Same as SWCy
NFL- Bengals getting Dalton, Green, and winning 9 games.
MLB- Don't care.
NBA- Thunder; great run in the playoffs.

I had a decent year.

Mine is the same as yours. But switch Twins for Cubs... so... that's nice. And add in the Wild with the run they're currently having.

Not a particularly great year in terms of sports. Cyclone football is the highlight of it.

NFL- Chiefs have been battling injuries all season, so it's what I expected.
MLB- Twins sucked...
NBA- Pacers made the playoffs! Could be one of the better teams in the East this season.
NCAAB - Played tough and was a fun team, not so much at the start of this season.
NCAAF - Very pleasant surprise even for a 6-7 team.

NFL - Steelers are 11-4 with a playoff berth. Decent season, but won't win the big one.

MLB - Orioles went 69-93. Will not improve until their s***head owner dies.

NHL - Washington not playing well. Fired coach. Oh well; it's fun to watch St. Louis and Winnipeg do well.

NCAAF - Maryland sucked way worse than I thought possible. 2-10? Come on, man. Cyclones were fun. My (D3) college team went 1-9, typical for them.

NCAAM - Maryland is up and down. Hope the Cyclones can win more than 1 B12 game.

High School Football - After winning only 3 games in my 4 years in high school (a few years ago), our varsity team is actually decent and went to state semifinals, only to be bested by our long-hated, cross-town rival. Exciting season for them, though.

Ncaaf cyclones had a pretty good yr for what they were up against

Ncaab hopefully they pick it up or its going to get ugly

MLB cardinals World Series!!!

NFL cowboys hopefully we win tomorrow. Hurt braking back to back missed fieldgoal losses because of a to.

Besides cardinals haven't had to good of a yr

I like lebron so I like the heat I guess but I really don't care for the NBA or NHL

I had over 50 million cybookie points and now only a minor million and half!!! Thanks Drake and Rutgers, blah. But to be serious my Titans have a chance to make the playoffs tomorrow, my Royals are improving and our beloved Cyclones always make things interesting.

St Louis won the WS. nuff said.
Iowa State FB was awesome this year.
Illinois FB started good then tanked. The Zooker was fired so thats a plus.
Chiefs about what I thought.

NFL: Raiders seem to be improving and Al Davis died, so hopefully the stupid draft picks will end. Also have a shot at the playoffs tomorrow.
MLB: Royals fan. Surprised at the production of the young talent on the team. Just wish we could find some quality starting pitching. Alex Gordon won a gold glove in his first full season in LF.
NBA: Not really a huge fan anymore. Grew up a Bulls fan, but like several young players for different teams. Just happy the Heat didn't win the championship.
NHL: Don't Care.
NCAAF: Awesome year. Enjoyed the whole season and am proud to say I was in attendance for the most epic CyHawk game ever and the OK State upset.
NCAAB: Rough conference season, but still enjoyed it. Impressed with some of the talent that Fred brought in and the improvement of Bubu.

I really don't give a damn about any other teams than Iowa State. Sure I like my schools... Furman and Harvard... and I like the Lions and Falcons... but none of them mean a thing to me. Its all about ISU. Football was a good year with frustration and basketball was a bad year that could have been special... Overall, I feel like I was kicked in the go-NAAAAddss again as usual.

NFL: Bears and Chargers both major disappointments

NBA: I claim the Bulls/Clippers as my teams, but I really don't care.

MLB: Twins with 100 losses. Huge disappointment.

NHL: Black Hawks didn't even make it out of round one of the 2011 playoffs, but the 2011-2012 is looking bright thus far halfway through the season.

NCAAF: I had predicted a 7-5 regular season, so a 6-7 record was somewhat disappointing, but the wins over Iowa, Tech, and OSU made it exciting as ****.

NCAAB: Disappointing thus far.

The Astros were the Disastros.
Spurs didn't do anything special
Cowboys continue to disappoint.
Texas has done poorly in football as has Iowa State(granted it is the most fun I've had watching football ever)

Here's to a better 2012.

MLB: the Braves were never really banging on all cylinders. They would unhitable at the same time that they couldn't hit and vise versa. When seemed like they were finally starting to get it figured out a fricken hurricane washed out an entire weekend of games. So by September they were running on fumes and practically gift wrapped the wild card to the eventual world champs.

NCAA MB: the Cyclones had promise at the beginning of the season but a lack of depth and some personnel issues hindered them from ever really being able to get of the hump.

NCAA FB: probably the highlight of my year as far as the teams I follow. A team that wasn't expected to win more than 3 games doubled expectations and beat a # 2 ranked team for the first time in school history.

NBA: don't really have a dog in this fight although I'll admit I was pulling for the Heat just to go against the grain a little bit. Really wouldn't have miss the NBA this year though if they had cancelled the season.

Cubs- Don't need to say anything else.
Iowa State-Awesome year in football.
Vikings- Don't need to say much here either.
NBA-Don't care much about it, but as long as the Heat doesn't win the title I'm happy.

NFL - Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl
MLB - Cardinals won the World Series
NCAAF - Cyclones had a great season.

It was a great year!!!

The only other team I'm passionate about other than ISU football/hoops is the Chicago Bulls and they had a pretty amazing 2011 and are well ahead of schedule with a solid core, superstar and coach.

Best coach in the NBA imho, best guard in the NBA and a top 3 talent overall. Rose went off on Chris Paul last night like he was playing against a high school kid. Going to be another fun season watching them. They play the most suffocating defense of probably any basketball team on Earth so it's funny listening to ignorant NBA bashers knock the defense.

A lot of haters just can't or won't do the simple math, the game is 8 minutes longer and the shot clocks is ELEVEN seconds faster. Shooters are ridiculously better at nailing open shots than even the best NCAA teams. Holding an NBA team to 80 or 85 is like holding a college team to 40 and the Bulls do it quite frequently.

If you weren't a Cyclone fan some might accuse you of being a bandwagon fan or front runner...but since you're a Cyclone fan you could probably say your other teams are the Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys, Celtics and Steelers and nobody could question you ;-)

Haha I get the whole bandwagon thing all the time but I have always liked the Packers and Cardinals growing up in Texas, moved here to Iowa in the 1st grade and been a Cyclone fan ever since.

P.S. I hate the yankees, lakers, cowboys, steelers, and celtics.
