WWDC Keynote Today...

I'd be fine with 3.0 now and new hardware in a month.

Likewise. Really the thing with me is seeing if a new phone would be worth the upgrade from first gen.

On a side note, anyone know what to do with an existing iPhone when you buy a new one? I don't want to give it to my fiance (doesn't want to pay the plan cost) so maybe just make it essentially an iPod touch?

Why the delay in supporting MMS? It really makes no sense.

Agreed. AT&T is just slow on getting their **** together it seems. I am more pissed at not tethering but I at least understand the business motivation for it.

Hopefully this 3MP camera can actually take good barcode images.

$299 for 32 GB is exactly what I thought. I believe a purchase will be in my future.

I'll repost my question from a bit ago. What does everyone do with their old iPhone when they upgrade?

Sell it...plenty of folks like me looking to have a phone without the burden of a contract.

Yeah, I think the Macpro was the most impressive stuff of the show. The Iphone wasn't anything impressive. A lot of crap they should of had in Generation 1.

The good:
- $29 OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" update!
- $99 iPhone 3G (previous generation, but still a good deal!)
- $300 price cut on the MacBook Pro!

The bad:
- New iPhone... great that it's updated and stuff, but nothing really to it other than faster processor and larger storage capacity
- An hour spent on developer demos -- half of which didn't even work properly. Yeesh. C'mon guys.

They said Safari 4 is released today, but I don't see it. They also said devs get 3.0 and I dont' see it.

The biggest thing they could have announced would be that they are ditching AT&T. They didn't so FAIL.

Yeah, AT&T has been pretty disappointing -- my guess is that they're dead scared of the potential bandwidth the iPhone brings. Notice Apple put laptop tethering into the iPhone 3.0's OS... who's the only iPhone carrier in the world that won't let this happen? AT&T!

Also, MMS messaging not being available until August per AT&T. WTF?

They also have by far the most iPhone users. They are just worried about their network being crushed. They need to suck it up and build more infrastructure.

That one really surprised me...how the heck does every other handset you offer do MMS but after having the iPhone for three years there still is some kind of "roadblock".

I would hope they have the most Iphone users.....If they couldn't handle the heat then they shouldn't make it exclusive.
