X has stunk. OL sucks. Dekkers isn’t good. Can’t run the ball. What the ****?!?!
Championship defense and middle school
Offense.
4th and 7 and fail, you give up the game now. Another stupid decision by Campbell.
ISU getting out coached weekly now.

Chicken **** play calling. So afraid to make a mistake that they won't risk trying to make a play.

The Oline is fine. It's just hard to run the ball when there's zero threat of a down field throw. So the defense can tee off on stopping the run.

Jihrehl Brock should NOT have been playing. He was not close to 100%. He somewhow got more carries than Deon Silas, when Deon Silas was actually the hot hand getting 6 yards per carry+.

Every. Single. One. Of our passing routes are short crosses, other teams know it, and they are never open now. We have defenses bunching up within ten yards mostly because we hardly ever throw it deep. I'm sure Hutchinson and Stanley and Noel are capable of running longer posts, go routes and deep routes. Why the hell don't we ever do it.

This is the most embarassing offense i've seen at ISU. I mean the Paul Rhoads Robert McFArland offenses were much, much, more explosive than this. This is totally pathetic and unacceptable in year 7 of the Campbell era.

I'm just not sure how the Oline has never really gotten better this whole time.

There was a few moments in 2020 where things were running smooth but otherwise it's been just awful.
Ever think it might be scheme and coaching?

This is garbage.

Seriously, what recruits are going to want to go to ISU now and showcase their abilities and talent?

Any WRs? O-linemen? QBs? Why?

I can see maybe RB and TE, but that's about it.

Does this offense seem like it is fun to play in?

It's part scheme for sure. There has never been an identity to ISU's offense under CMC and I can't remember the last time there was one in general. 2002? '01?

There's no purpose and nothing that defenses have to respond to like an effective running game, at least consistently.

That said, the talent is being overvalued for what they can actually do. The Oline is not good at either type of blocking, the RBs are decent but not dominant, and the receiving corps is pretty average.

I think the Big 12 right now is as good as it's been since CMC got here which is why we might see a more CPR style season.

The wild thing is. We ran with good yards per carry with Deon Silas. But of course that was working so we did not continue it.

Also, I don't know but why is Jared Rus on the field every play, as harsh as that sounds. Rus to me doesn't add much value in the run block scheme b/c hes somewhat slow, and he sure as heck doesn't in the pass game either. Tyler Moore would be better to me b/c he is half a foot taller and likely much faster.

Silas is good and shifty but I'm not seeing a work horse type back there and it's not like ISU was going to be able to rely on that to get KSU to really respond to it.

Staff is an A Sunday through Friday, but a D on Saturday's. The result is C+/B- football and that's exactly what we are getting. God forbid if Heacock decides to retire....

Silas wasn’t exactly shredding them, but was getting the job done; his 4-8 per carry was exactly what the doctor ordered. So what does the staff do? Replace him with Brock (who healthy is better!) who then proceeds to get injured….

Doesn't what happens Sunday-Friday impact the game? Considering the slow starts, the weirdness with penalties/miscues, Sunday-Friday may not be that great.
