WSU top 10?

Honestly the MVC should only be a 1 bid league, imo.

How do you justify this? I mean, I get that WSU/UNI havn't exactly beaten any great teams. But if you don't think they're one of the top 68 teams than you're crazy.

This year I completely agree with your statement. I think in a couple of years the MVC will be a 1 bid league. Creighton leaving the conference really hurt the MVC.

Top 45 not 68. Kstate and Texas are in the top 68 teams but that doesn't mean they are dancing. I think both (mvc) teams are in but I don't think they should be ranked as high as they are.

Would either of WSU or UNI get an at large bid with their win resume if they were in the big 12? No. Its not like they beat top teams in the noncon to make up for it. We've sat on the bubble before, we know all the things people said we needed to do to get in the field. WSU hasnt done any of those things, nor have they kept their weak schedule unblemished.

The vast majority of teams from POWER CONFERENCES wouldn't get an at large bid with their resume if they were in the Big 12. Poor measuring stick.

If WSU drops big time in the top 25, shouldn't UNI as well, since WSU is really their only good win, and it turns out WSU isn't that good?

That's not the way the AP and Coaches' Polls work. RPI, KenPom, etc, maybe, but that's not what you're talking about. AP and Coaches' only care that UNI is already there and continues to win, and will only drop them if they lose.

ISU has more RPI Top 25 wins than WSU and UNI have Top 50 wins combined.

Once again, the AP and Coaches don't care. The committee will certainly be looking at this and will seed accordingly, but, other than WSU dropping, don't expect a drop by UNI for next week's poll unless they lose too.

I'll bring a comparison. Texas. A team considered by many to be on the bubble or out.

3 wins vs the top 50. 2 for WSU.
Worst loss? Stanford (RPI 65). WSU now has 2 losses worse than that (71 Illinois State, 83 George Washington).

The only difference? Texas has played a lot of games vs top 25 teams and gotten losses, while WSU hasnt played many top 50 teams much less top 25 teams and lost 2/3 of those (with the one win being to UNI at home). So take out the top 25 losses as WSU hasnt played any and tell me why Texas is out while WSU is solidly in?

The same comparison could be made for Texas\UNI.

From what I've heard in the past, the committee doesn't care about how many chances you get, just that win you a couple of those games. I think Texas is safely in if they beat Kansas St., I think they'll be a 10 seed, 9 if they win a game in Kansas City possibly.

Okay, but kstate has more wins against the top25 RPI than those two have put together.

doesn't matter, Kansas St. is 15-15 with losses to Long Beach St., Texas Tech, TCU, and Texas Southern. Not gonna get them in.

At some level you have to reward teams for being able to win massive amounts of games. ISU has 3-4 games they had absolutely no business losing this year. That being said, UNI or WSU are in probably in the top 25, top 10 is just plain silly.

I know, it is just amazing how good their good wins are, and their bad losses were three months ago.
