I get what youre saying, and I agree to a point. However, I don't think having a minimum expectation of winning 2 of the non-con games each season, and 3 conference games is too much.
May not seem like it. But just when has that ever been done on a consistent basis in the history of Iowa State football?
I get the whole "winning" attitude, and should always strive for better, etc ******** arguments the haters make.
But I'm pretty sure we've had lots of coaches with "winning" attitudes in the past, guys that have been successful, guys that knew a lot about the game and were terrific coaches before and after they were here.
See it's funny when you look at the reality of this place, and the history that has led us to this point. You start to think maybe it isn't the coaches.
Other than a brief window, when remarkably everyone got bad at the same time, and mac coached us out of division titles, this is where we have been. Unfortunately we are a coat tail school, with no cache of our own, and have to depend on ut OU and others for our survival. 04-05 could have been transformational, we didn't get it done.
So unless you can tell me that Iowa State will start making a big boy effort and start making the real genuine commitment necessary to play at the level you and the rest speak of like it as easy as flipping the switch, I'm still going to rely on facts and history as to see why things are the way there are.
