Pollards strength is not in hiring coaches...hoiberg probably just catching lightning in a bottle. But at almost every other aspect of the job he is exactly what ISU needs.

No, you're not. Unfortunately, Pollard has been pretty good wth everything else so I'm not sure where that leaves us.

Right, I'm not calling for his job or anything but his hires besides Fred have been absolutely brutal. I give him a little credit for having the balls to hire Fred but Chizik, Rhoads and McDermott have been huge flops.

I'd put out some feelers to see what level of interest there is in this job, but no, unless someone who was atop my list of potential replacements was interested, I would bring him back for one more year.

Well, except for soccer. Pollard fired the coach last year who tied for 4th in the conference. With our new coach, we finished last by ourselves this year and were the only Big 12 team not to make the conference tourney...

I left at half this game for a good reason same with the baylor game and the NDSU game..... we suck.

The game I was referring to was the Toledo game, which was actually a good game, and we actually won. You said you left after the 1st qtr because you and your buddies were bored. Don't shoot the messenger, you're the one that said it.

Being in a power 5 conference and with the renovations and the support this fan base puts in even though we suck, jeez there has got to be an up n comer chomping at the bit to get this opportunity to showcase his abilities and make at least 2 million in the process.

CPR has made the necessary change on the offensive side of the ball and thus, should get one more season (2015). If we don't get to 6 wins next season then I will expect a new HC for 2016.

I hate the idea of giving "one more year" to any coach. It's an incredibly tough position. For a one year coach, getting quality assistants becomes hard. Recruiting becomes difficult. A poor start to that one job future determining season kills any incentive to perform later in the season.

I'm actually surprised that people are finally realizing that Rhoads isn't much more than a passionate and proud football coach.

What if CPR now makes necessary changes on the defensive side of the ball? Are we going to give the new DC two seasons, like we gave the new guys on the offensive side of the ball?
