Worth a Laugh

Thats something I think is rediculous also. Just because someone has bad credit doesn't mean they wouldn't be a good worker. I can see the credit check thing being good if the employee was handling money. but I won't even get started on that.

But in ********'s case the Board doesn't handle the money. They vote on what the money should be spent on and the votes are subject to open records laws so you can see who voted for what.

Anywho its just typical Register garbage.

It has nothing to do with whether a person would be a hard worker or not - companies don't want to hire financially-risky individuals because what happens if suddenly said individual doesn't/can't pay their bills/taxes/etc? Eventually creditors and the IRS will stop calling the individual and will start going after the employers by demanding that wages be garnished. No employer wants to deal with that, so employers will not take lightly someone who has serious financial issues.

As far as him not handling money issues... Ok, this isn't the case in all situations, but how a person handles their money is an indicator of the decisions that they make. Now, sometimes there's a legitimate excuse for why someone is not sound financially (I pretty much financed my wife's engagement ring, wedding ring, certain aspects of the wedding, the honeymoon, and the adjustment period of us living together on credit cards - and I would not recommend that route to anyone, BTW. It's just a good thing my wife and I are in the process of cleaning that mistake up), but as shown with what's-his-name's history, he doesn't seem to have a good reason for the mistakes he's made. Therefore, if I lived in Des Moines, I'd seriously question his public-good decision-making capabilities based on the decisions he's made in his life.

I'll never forgot how he use to come on douche's show and talk trash about the Cyclones. As far as the finacial issues, they don't surprise me at all.
