I'll have to wait till season's end to truly address the worst-of.
At this point, this isn't better or worse than 2003. It IS 2003.
It's less a matter of W-L, it's the progression of the season that's headed that way.

You obviously pushed the memory of 1994 out of your head. That team sucked hardcore. That being said I'd like to see that team play this years team. My guess is An option of Calvin Branch and Todd Dotzen would runall over our defense.
Our D hasn't quit, they just aren't ball smart at times. Not sure the offense has really gotten started enough to accuse of quiting. This isn't the worst team by far, but the results are not great, and that starts and ends with coaching.
That team actually beat UNI that year and didn't get beat by 64, even when the number 1 team rolled through ames....
