Worst Iowa State Team Ever?

I think it has to be up there, if for no other reason than the parody scholarship limits and the like have created. In the seventies is was easy to be this bad, today you really have to work hard at it.

This may be the poorest coached team in ISU history, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Talent wise there are some real bright spots on this team. Unfortunately the play calling/scheme and the OL injuries have destroyed any chance for success.

The defense is pretty disappointing from the aspect that Wally is a guy that has historically been able to do something with not a lot of talent. Obviously the losses on that side of the ball were even greater than we thought they would be.

As far as just horrible FB teams, ISU has had at least 10 teams worse than this one in the last 25 years.

This team has to be the worst for me because thanks to more TV coverage and the internet I get to see every little painful play along with a lot of talk. Chizik did better in each of his seasons IMO. A win against Texas was ours and it stinks that it was taken away from us... but the team just isn't deep enough. I still like our chances next year.

This Iowa State team has regressed every game since Texas Tech so there is really no reason to believe they finish higher than 1-11.

This. I think it's safe to say we're not going to beat OU, TCU or WVU......if we lose to KU, this team will be worse than 2003, 2007 and 2008, for sure. It will challenge the 1997 team.

And your point is? Chizik doubled Rhoads OOC win total. Rhoads needs to win a conference game and it is better, but this team is done. Look at the way the starters played at the end of this game and tell me they win this year?
