Many good position coaches and coordinators end up bad head coaches, despite football acumen and experience in P5 programs. Conversely, relatively unproven assistants are very good HCs. Imo a large part of this is due to the non-football skills required of being a good head coach being just as important. CEO/manger skills. PR demonstrated a lack of those from the start IMO. I lean towards a successful lower-level HC, particularly Moglia. If not him, his background fits what we should be looking for.
