Will the BIG10 Reverse Their Decision?

B1G has not responded to Nebraska parents

Nor should they. We know why the Big 10 cancelled (or why the Big 10 says they cancelled). There's nothing more to say. If they want to sue, then sue

Pertaining to NC-State pausing their athletics, there were a few clusters on campus, and some positive tests within some of their athletic programs. Their AD said this is the responsible move going forward and is exactly why all teams pushed their season back a week or two in order to deal with situations like this.

On the numbers, regardless of if you think they are fudged or not... people are dying from this disease in a major way. That's not debatable. What is debatable is if they can safely play a season. I think they can. And if they can, I think they should.

know a family whose dad was given a two months to live from cancer. He went into hospice after 5-6weeks and passed away with in days. When they got the death certificate back, they asked the doctor why it said he died of Covid. Dr said they tested him and he tripped a positive test. There are some that aren’t fully spot on with that.

A friend's dad passed away this week after a long nursing home stay. Cause of the death- COVID. He was 97.

Y'all are really obsessed with that China travel ban, even though it probably didn't do much effective. It came too late to matter, a bunch of travel was still allowed anyway from there and other countries that already had it, and most importantly nothing else was done for months, despite the intelligence folks ringing the alarms on this way back into last year. This resulted in us having one of the worst responses of any country in the world. A travel ban as part of a comprehensive playbook is entirely different than slapping a travel ban and thinking that'll solve everything.

By the time the China travel ban was put in place it needed to to be Europe....

Since some people are telling COVID stories, here is mine.
We have a good friend in Wisconsin. Mid 60’s, never smoked, very fit. Works out 4/5 times a week. Hikes, bikes etc.
Last week she got out of the hospital after 66 days in for COVID. Made the local Madison news, with the hospital staff cheering her. Her husband and family could not see her those 66 days - only Zoom.
She is now home, and on oxygen. She is on the list for a double lung transplant as COVID ravaged her lungs. Her battle is far from over. Her husband caught it too, and for him it was like a really bad cold. Nasty stuff.

I'm wondering if schools are going to change their testing protocols now that the CDC says you don't need to be tested if you don't have any symptoms..

The idea that you don't need to be tested if you have been exposed but don't have symptoms seems questionable given the need to contact trace. Seems more like a 'reduce testing to reduce cases' move.
