Will Saturday's temperatures change your tailgating plans?

Not bringing the 3 year old and the 8 month old, talked the parents into coming up to watch them. Now just have to find an extra ticket for the wife. Do you suppose they would believe she is in the Jr. Cyclone Club?

Not getting to the lots any time before 7:00 AM, that's for sure.

People are talking about 7am and 9am, and noon etc. But the lots don't open until 6 hours prior to kick right? Or can we get in early? I will go search, but does anyone know?

Cue that one guy telling everyone they're not true fans if....
I'm glad I'm on your mind "shotgun shell boy"! Temperature should indeed have no effect on your tailgating plans! The game could be played on the planet Mercury and I would expect nothing less than massive amounts of alcohol being consumed. If not, I'm sure their is a high school or JuCo game people can drink water at. Kidneys be damned and GO CYCLONES!

We will park our van in line at the student lot and tailgate the line until they let everyone in.

Public lots open 6 hours prior. Donor lots open at 7. Just making the distinction because G6/G7 are donor grass lots.

So I'm a low-end NCC donor with a G7 parking pass, I can get in there at 7am? That may change things, may have to get there earlier!

We are starting at 7am. Might as well set up during the cool time and then hit it hard, every yard for ISU

I hardly eat food at tailgates anyway. Drink my lunch I guess. But, I'll probably mix in a few waters and I'm guessing I steer clear of craft/micro beers and stick with BL.

We have 2 canopies this year one for the food the other for lounging. Just finished making some PVC weights for holding them down. Youth football pics at 8:30. 8 lb pork loin on the grill by 5 am, so we should be ready to hit the lots by 9.

So, I can assume you have two parking passes for those?

Just setup box fans under your canopies and you will be fine. My plan is to be up to Ames Friday night at 5:30 to make sure no one tries to steal our normal spot. Everything should be setup, so when we get up Sat. morning we can plug the TV's in, turn on the fans and start to enjoy the first tailgate of the year. I am not scared of a little sun and heat that can be offset.
