Will Saturday's temperatures change your tailgating plans?

Not bringing the 3 year old and the 8 month old, talked the parents into coming up to watch them. Now just have to find an extra ticket for the wife. Do you suppose they would believe she is in the Jr. Cyclone Club?

Gah. For your sake, I hope not! :jimlad:

My plans have changed a little. I am bringing my 7 year old son with me. Due to that we won't be showing up until a little later. He handles the heat OK but want to make sure that he isn't completely wiped before the game starts. My wife is staying home with the daughters since our 4 year old has a history of puking when she gets too hot and doesn't handle the heat all that well.

The only other change we will be making is that we will probably fire up the truck every now and then to sit in the AC if there isn't a breeze.

Hoping since the sun goes down a little earlier now that by the second half it won't be so horrible.

It has changed what food we are bringing, and the amount of water. We aren't going to be doing anything super heavy food-wise, just brats and then I think some watermelon to keep it light.

There seems to be plenty of tickets being offered for sale. Are people bailing?

I wouldn't doubt it, especially the more fair weather fan (some pun intended). If you are just going for the experience and what not it is an easy choice to make. Stay home in the A/C and watch with a potentially better view.

I would also bet good money a sizable number of people bought more/extras just to sell once it was sold out and closer to the date to make money.

No major changes for us. Maybe just bring an extra set of clothes to change out of the sweaty ones before the game. Serving "panther tails" (brats soaked in purple beer).

No doubt your wife's Minnesota genes coming into play there.

We are bringing a kiddie pool, just trying to figure out how we are going to fill it up.

Get a hold of the guy with all the extra bottles of water from RAGBRAI.

FYI - HyVee has bottles of Gatorade 10/$8.88, with 1¢ per bottle on the fuel saver card.

Do not bring food that has any type of salad dressing (mayo or Miracle Whip). You wouldn't believe how fact organisms can grow in that stuff in the heat.
