Wigginton declaring for NBA Draft, not hiring agent

I haven't paid too much attention to this whole process because when he announced he was testing the NBA waters, most people said he would almost certainly return. So honestly I've been a little caught off guard by today's deadline and this decision still being up in the air.

What's the latest on his draft projection anyway?
He's not projected to get drafted on any mock drafts. That said, mock drafts aren't reliable although I don't think he will get drafted either.

I’m grateful that Monte didn’t wait around and make us (and more importantly the coaches) wait until the last minute. I was much more invested in him as he had been here 3 years and had been part of 3 great teams. Lindell had a great year on a not great team. It will suck if he goes early, but I’m not attached to him.

I find the concept of emotional investment in a 19 year old kid you've likely never met a little odd.

Monte's situation was entirely different. He had made a decision to stay and was injured so he wasn't working out for NBA teams. Lindell is milking every bit of info out of those teams, as well he should.

I saw Reid Travis has withdrawn from the NBA Draft and instead of going back to Stanford is going to be a transfer, such a great player at Stanford and sounds like he may transfer to Kentucky. Gotta believe if Hoiberg was still around, could have been Iowa State.

Could have, but the transfer game has really blown up since he left.

Isn't it a good sign that there isn't a presser announced? What, crap. Maybe a bad sign? Oh my god I just freaked myself out more. Damnit.

From the outside looking in, his best decision is to come back, play his Sophomore year, and then get drafted in the 1st round next year. But, I don't know his family needs or what info he has been told by NBA people.

I agree. It might be better for him if he did go. Then he wouldn’t have to put up with all the critics who will say he is only playing for himself and trying to improve his draft status next season. Also, we won’t have to deal with Randy P’s countless articles on whether he made the right decision. Of course there will still be his never ending speculation articles on Lard next season
