So you're telling all of us that the new ISU recruiting staff who spouted off about no more recruiting misses missed on the very first class and big enough that you can already tell about a guy just coming off a redshirt that is 6'6" among a land of 5'5" WR's he should just go home already?

If you watch the Mcknight video on cyclones.com he mentions how last year he was the best vertical leap pound for pound on the team. Pretty crazy to hear he is still that athletic, on the field the previous 2 years I thought he was a few steps
slow.....

I just wanna know if anyone else has heard that he doesn't like Ames or that he's been having a tough go since arriving here. I along with everyone else should be praying he can put up half the numbers he did in juco...

Our Juco track record for highly toted recruits is not the best, 2005 Thomas Patton, 2002 Fredrico Sammuel, both were huge no shows when they got to campus.... It is hard to get excited with the qualifying issues right away......
Gary will be lucky to play this season.
Howard will likely be the 3rd or second TE.
Anthony Young will start. Ter'ran proved in the bowl game he is not a outside CB. However he is a solid nickel and can only get better this of season.
If Givens does not start, I will be surprised. O'Connell is not fast or athletic enough to start in this league. He is a solid guy to have when the starters need a break though. If O'Connell starts we will be in trouble.
Rony will likely come in on 3rd downs to rush the passer if he makes it to campus that is.
Caspers will likely be a back up.
The other JUCO you forgot, Chris Young, will battle for a starting position but likely will play the same role as Reynolds and be his replacement in the rotation scheme that Herman runs. I think this team is deep at WR. Pretty huge deal since this position was weak only a couple years ago.
No he doesn't. Technically, he has seven semesters, which would make him ineligible for a bowl game as a senior if my math is right.
That doesn't make any sense. Has that ever happened to a player where he can play a season but not that bowl game for this reason?
If the bowl game is in a different semester than the regular season, and his eligibility ran out at the end of the semester for the regular season, then yes, he can miss a bowl. I also believe it has happened before, but I can't name specifics. Obviously, situations like Gary's are pretty unique. It happened because he enrolled for one semester at Arkansas, although he never played and attended only one semester, then redshirted at juco last year. So while he's called a 4-to-play-4 guy, he's technically a 7-to-play-7 guy.
What is the story on Ronnie Nelson? Is he in school or not? It seems like there is a lot of speculation on if he will contribute or even be on the team in the fall. Does anyone really know?
