BTW, I personally do not believe that Donnie Jennert will ever see a meaningful snap at ISU.
I believe you are incorrect. I don't think he's an every down guy but he could certainly be a redzone guy.

The OP said Rony wasn't working out well and wished he wasn't in Iowa- has anyone else heard this?

parker has never got many sacks, but i remember seeing him in the pocket after the QB quite a few times. hope he can rack up more sacks this year. and i definately agree that nelson could be the biggest suprise, but he could also be the biggest bust
:sad:What? I think I've read twice now where Chris Williams has said Rony is working out with the team and is on course to be a student this fall. I just wanna know if anyone else has heard that he doesn't like Ames or that he's been having a tough go since arriving here. I along with everyone else should be praying he can put up half the numbers he did in juco...
I have high hopes for Albert Gary. IMO he and Young (along with a healthy Reynolds) are going to transform our WR corps. For the other JUCOS:
Ricky Howard - He'll be a 3rd TE and find a place as a blocker (H-Back)
Anthony Young - Will battle Reeves all year for the 3rd CB spot (comes in when Benton moves to LB in the nickel)
Durrell Givens - In a battle with O'Connell and Brooks for the starting FS spot. I'm betting he spends 2010 behind O'Connell.
Rony Nelson - Just a huge question mark. IF he shows, I could see him contributing.
Jon Caspers - Redshirts unless there are major injury issues on the OL.
For the FR, I think that Shontrelle Johnson will play mostly special teams and get a few carries here and there. Gary will play if not start eventually. I also believe that George and Bennett will play special teams similar to what Knott and Klein did last year.
Our Juco track record for highly toted recruits is not the best, 2005 Thomas Patton, 2002 Fredrico Sammuel, both were huge no shows when they got to campus.... It is hard to get excited with the qualifying issues right away......

HE got 4 years to play though.
No he doesn't. Technically, he has seven semesters, which would make him ineligible for a bowl game as a senior if my math is right.
That doesn't make any sense. Has that ever happened to a player where he can play a season but not that bowl game for this reason?
