Where do the Cyclones go with Brock Purdy?

We all know Dekkers can run, the question is will he be allowed to. I’m not hopeful under the current staff. They don’t know how to game plan around a dual-threat QB.
Biggest mistake by this staff is taking a QB that is really good in the RPO and not use it hardly at all. All the Big 12 DCs greatly appreciate not having to deal with the RPO. Every team would run the hell out of it if they had Purdy. Well, almost every team.

I don't see Purdy getting drafted at this point so he'd have to make an NFL team as a free agent and hope for the best. If he wants to keep playing football coming back for another season may be in the cards. His skills may actually fit the Arena league the best.

If he comes back you have him use his legs and get him on the edge more. You feel you have a good backup, so if he goes down you have someone you are confident in.

I would take Brock back in a second if we also named him OC. Seems to me Manning has held him back since year 2 trying to make him a pocket passer. That’s not who Brock is. He’s a motion, roll out, pump fake play maker. They even said it last week, “He was 5 yards past the line. The coacheds told the D not to bite, but even passed the line, the pump faked still worked.” Honestly, every pass play should be a run option for Purdy.

Brock has been the greatest QB we’ve ever had, and it’s also time to move on after this year. I think both things can be true.

If we can’t fix this O-line, it may be time to look for more mobility at the position.I worry for Dekkers next year.
Isn't Dekkers also mobile? Similar to Lanning

Purdy said that he was going into this season with the mindset that this would be his "Senior Season" and his last year at ISU. Do you think that's still his plan? I wouldn't imagine his NFL stock is very high right now and he could always come back for one more year to revitalize his NFL interest. Do you think the Cyclones would want him back? Would you?

And where does that leave Dekkers? Has he been hanging around and waiting in the wings with the understand that he would start next year? I have to imagine that it's going to be almost impossible to keep both the guys on the roster this offseason with them being decent transfer targets.

CF, How do I make sense of all of this?
Dekkers is QB next year. I don't put today's game on Brock, he had actually a pretty decent quarterback rating of 87.6.

If the defense shows up in the first quarter we win the game today. They were abysmal against the pass the entire game.

Is this an extension of the Brock Purdy is the most clutch ISU player in history thread? I’ll hang up and listen.

Shut the **** up. You mouth breathing pieces of **** have been banned for much less than leaving the in state Rivals board to spew this garbage
