Where are your fans?

Iowa gets a ranking and picks up some nice wins and suddenly the conversation starts shifting to things other than their play - not as excited to talk about our clear improvements as a team. Attendance lol, we must have you guys a little anxious.
LOL you serious? Did you see the game tonight? If anything we're excited to go in there and play that trainwreck of a team.

My memories are that it used to be a good atmosphere in the Dr. Tom era. Went to a couple games back then and it was full and loud, but that was like 20 years ago and against Michigan and Indiana.

The Sunday big Ten games are always brutal crowd-wise outside of MSU, Mich, and for some reason Nebraska.

Leave it to Pitt* to put up nearly 50 in the first half, then disappear in the second and lose.

Fran better leave quickly at the conclusion of this game so he can get his recruiting done over there.

Nah, I'm sure he has a few more of his own kids to recruit or the local phenom 15 miles down the road.

Fran have anymore of his own children he can recruit? Wonder if he will allow Pemsl to come back next year and take that scholarship that he was recruiting for.

That might as well be 200 years ago.

Iowa State hasn’t sold out Jack Trice once this year despite having nearly 10k fewer seats but you want to talk about attendance? I don’t think you want to do that actually.
I never realized Carver seated about 70,000. I've never been there but I probably should go see that. Sounds impressive for a basketball arena.

probably the same place our fans were during the 4th quarter against k-state last week.
If that is the case, Barta should probably pay the power bill so they can turn the heat back on in Carver.

Also while I don't condone leaving early (I didn't - I was there until after the final victory formation snap) leaving a cold, night football game in the fourth quarter when your team is down 3 scores is exactly the same as not showing up for the start of an indoor basketball game.

Whoever thought that arena design was a good idea needs their head examined. The bowl design puts less seats close to the action and the stairs end up creating empty space close to the court. Less premium seating equals less revenue and less atmosphere. I attended Iowa for one year before transferring to ISU. I had student tix the year I was there and felt like I was miles from the court and I was in the lower third of the bowl.

Glad we're on the same page.
All ya gotta do is a hokey faux tug on heart string jesture to some disadvantaged group of children that will bring them in.I think a wave to the Iowa team at half time would be a definite disadvantage group.
