What will ISU be ranked?

So I'll give her that. Still doesn't make much sense to me but who knows maybe she'll bump ISU up in the next couple games.

This is fair, Va Tech is a tough to play as well but I saw nothing from their guards that indicates they are anything special. Their best guys are too young to be serious difference makers and Penny is an AAU bagman, not a head coach. Tough to see them improving much , even with Brown on the staff. They are very young, but very talented. Didn't see a lot of maturity out of their "point guard", and I don't think he's particularly suited for that position anyway. That could be a critical weakness if they don't figure it out, but if they do, I think they're talented enough to end the year in the top 25.

Thanks. If she wants to go the analytic route and says she won't overvalue head-to-head, at least it's an explanation.

My main critique is, it's more than a one-off upset, it's from an almost-round-robin event ... she's ranking two teams ISU beat, STILL ranking the team that lost to BOTH those teams, yet still isn't ranking ISU ... and Iowa State is unbeaten (weak opponents prior to tournament, but not like we came into it 2-2).

I am hoping she just values VT, Memphis, and Xavier high and when the analytics come around on us (not using last years games against us) that she will keep them ranked and bump us up. Would help us a lot in the future come tournament time if Memphis and Xavier are ranked.

With that being said head to head should hold a lot more weight in her rankings than she is making it.
