Bob Bowlsby says CFB playoff expansion NOT what's best for the sport. Why openly advocate against the thing best for the Big 12 teams? We only keep financial viability and relevance with an automatic qualifier.

What kind of negotiation starts with admitting to everyone that your best position isn't a good one? It's a a game of negotiating. Thats all I'll say
Yeah, so then you say "8 isn't as good as 12 for the sport" Not this...Looks to me like he's trying to argue for 12 instead of 8, which gives you both automatic qualifiers and a decent amount of at larges. Still dumb way to approach it if that's what he's doing.
Huh?It's a a game of negotiating. Thats all I'll say
I know, right.People are just now coming to the realization Bob is an idiot?
This. If we go to 12, nothing appears to indicate that the SEC won’t continue to get the favorable nod. And if they do, they’ll get more at large bids than every other conference, including the Big Ten.8 teams with 5 AQ is what's best for the Big12. To go to 12 teams helps the SEC separate themselves further by getting a bigger chunk of the CFP pie. Only way 12 should be considered is if the payouts are set are not tied to the at large qualifiers.

When has Bowlsby done anything that means we should relax and not be bothered by his lack of advocacy or awareness about the p5 situation?OP…..relax
Longer this drags out and gets stagnated, the more pressure the b12 has in drilling the opposition in the lawsuits.People - relax. It's all part of the "game."
Bob was on the original group of four (Bowlsby, sec commish, Pac12 and acc commish) that recommended going from 4 to 12 and the final vote to be the first week in August until the ouut story broke.
Everybody is negotiating. If the big 12 is going to sue ESPN, etc., does he just lay down?
I have no inside information, but please don't jump to conclusions until u have all the facts.
