What record do we finish with?

I know this is a prediction thread and meaningless internet jargon, but I just hope our team isn't thinking about their destination & is only thinking about getting better for their next opponent day in and day out. Setting expectations of getting to the dance is good and all, but this team really needs to focus on the race instead of the finish line to be successful.

Now that I've got that off my chest, I'm gonna say we finish with 20 wins (knock, knock) and that includes winning the 1st & 2nd rounds of the Big XII tourney.

I don't have any trouble seeing 20 wins. There's some good talent on the team, and it's playing with more aggressiveness and motion as the year goes.

The sky isn't falling here. This bunch could turn out really well.

(Win the B12 Tourney...Title game against Texas.......and a victory. Cyclone Nation is in Hysterics.....KC is just buzzing....the Power and Light district hasn't EVER seen a better set of fans....Kelly's is going nuts too all CYCLONES are calling for an epic run in the Big Dance)

But........................right before the dance begins for the #1 Seed in the Midwest....I wake up from my dream....and we only went 19-11 in the reg. season. Crap.

I think we still have a good shot at a winning season... 17-14... BUT 18-13 if we end up with a big upset.

I would love nothing more for Christmas to see our guys really step up and finish with the 18 win regular season total. Two wins in the Big 12s and theres your 20 win season.


But yes.. I know that 18 reg season wins is drinking a lot of the koolaid

Ugh... well Im hoping we can end up 14-18 if we pull off a nice win against Nebraska.

Note to self.. Dont expect drastically different results from season to season if the players and the coaches are pretty much all the same.
