Whar Lard?

I'd be surprised if he sees much run this year, but fully anticipate him being on campus and being a productive player down the road if he Prohm can keep him engaged. Holden, Bowie, Carter and Young all seem positioned to see minutes before him and don't recall any Iowa state teams getting past 9 deep when you factor in Morris, Naz, Thomas, Burton, Babb, and Jackson. Wonder if Lard and Jakolby Long will be considered for redshirts.

I'm usually not a fan of redshirting in MBB but in this case it may be wise for those two. Particularly Lard so he can get a little edge academically. Redshirting would give him some additional time to hit the books rather than traveling to games he probably won't play much in.

Lard is an awesome player IMO. Seems like we would need that extra body post come Big 12. Not sure about red shirting Lard but you may be correct in this case. I think a lot of his academic problems come from moving and transferring to Texas so credits in question.

No he transferred to Texas after he was ruled ineligible by the Louisiana governing body.

Also there is very little film on him and he didn't play his senior year so I wouldn't count on much of an impact his first year.

Sitting it a full year of competitive hoops and then basically missing this summer to workout with his new teammates will probably put him behind schedule.

You are right on that one. Missing summer workouts and league play come foremost to mind.

Zamora's in Marshalltown puts a fried anaheim chile in with theirs as well. Amazing....

Might head there for a steak burrito Friday now that you mention it, choosing between Zamora's and Sub City next door to each other is always one of the hardest choices in life.

Zamora's burritos are fantastic. Can't go wrong with Marias either.

Not so fast my friend, unless he's been on the Aaron Agnew training regimen he'll see minutes.
