Kicker competition isn’t a bad thing. Especially when one can also be a punter. Not to mention being a former QB might help on the occasional fake kick/punt as well.

Regarding the question about a possible other kicker/punter in this class; one could end up a punter and the other a kicker.
It’s common in the nfl for the punter to be the holder for PK. If this new guy becomes the punter it could lead to potential fake attempts with his QB experience.
If so, I hope the attempts are more successful than the fake attempt against Nebraska many years ago.

Well it sounds good to say we at least got a 5 star recruit.
Class has a 5* Punter, 5* Kicker and a Long snapper invited to the under armor all American game.
His highlight take shows him kicking off through the end zone again and again and again…………………………………………………………………………………...and again and again and again.

This is so true.
How often in sports do we talk about a player needing time to get into the flow of the game. A BB player who can come off the bench and immediately hit big shots is rare and valuable. So many times an offense needs to get a first down before they can really get in the groove. The nature of the beast is kicking specialists don't have time to get into the flow of the game. They have to come in and perform for one play without getting in the flow of the game. Some players have it and some don't no matter their physical gifts. And you never know at what level the lights will suddenly be too bright and the stage too big.
Having options increases the likelihood that you have a guy who has 'it'.
247 had Mevis #12 in his class. I think he was a difference maker.
