You do you job and you absolutely will get credit for being a good kicker in Ames. We know how important it is and what a cluster **** things turn into when you don’t have a good one.

Well, 24/7 doesn't rate any kickers as 5 star. The highest they have any rated in the 2022 class is 3 star and there are only 14 of those.

There were 15 3 stars in the 2021 class.

I think it more accurate to say a kicker is 5 star when he is at the top of the class of kickers that year than it is to say even the best of the best are only 3 stars.

Mevis and Dicker the kicker were both 3 stars in the top 15 of their respective classes on 24/7.

If he's ranked 13th and 18th in the nation wouldn't that make him close to a 5* or definitely a 4* at his position if he played any other position.

Don't hope to need it, but also as an 11th desperation tackler vs a non-athletic punter/kicker.

Why would we not want a 5 star kicker?
 
Ideally you’re getting guys that are top 5 at their position when it comes to kickers/punters. The quality seems to fall off significantly after that.

As always will defer to the staff and trust their eye for talent.
