We are right under 1,000 so could use a big push before the portal opens up in 3 weeks. Sneak peek: all the dollars raised from now until the end of the year will be matched by a few donors up to $300,000 so feel free and get a head start! Will make an announcement during the Texas game.Have we been able to exceed 1,000 monthly contributors yet? @brentblum

Milan is a great dude and loves his teammates and coaches, we will do all we can to keep him in Ames as long as he in college. But yes it's nice to have some additional resources to get and keep players of his caliber.I donated money for Milan, but if he continues this into Big 12 play, he's probably gone![]()

Or the radio stations support them and give them free advertisingHawkeye collective is running radio ads over here for their NIL beer.
Is that telling anyone anything beyond the suggestion of an oversupply?

Is it the best system? No, it’s not. But it is the current system and the transfers brought in are pretty clear proof how NIL support can have an impact.I don’t know of any pro sport where the fans are asked to pay the players.

Agreed and I think we are headed there at some point.I think most understand this, but are also hoping this system will be a temporary stop. Some sort of agreement for schools/conferences to share the media revenue is what I’d like to see.

Mr Anti NIL is here everyone, run for your livesIt won’t happen if they can get the fans to pay for it. I look at the current “NIL” situation as a stress test, not a point on the roadmap to professionalism.
Donate or not, I won’t judge you at all either way.It won’t happen if they can get the fans to pay for it. I look at the current “NIL” situation as a stress test, not a point on the roadmap to professionalism.
