WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Several of us follow her. I have since 2022. I just don't like to compare them because I don't follow the other if I can avoid it.
It’s not comparing them. It’s just straight acknowledging what she’s doing as a freshmen the same way they lauded Clark. Watkins is really fun to watch.

Yes, she is fun to watch! I've been doing it before JuJu led the 17 and under team to a gold medal. Well, I would be comparing stats, personality, and more.

Juju and her 51 points were talked about extensively on the Fox broadcast of Iowa's game tonight. So that's a step in the right direction. It's a shame USC doesn't have more games on national TV. Fortunately that will change next year when they join the Big Ten.

FIBA is holding Olympic qualifiers this next week in four locations around the world. One is hosted in Brazil. Scuttlebutt is that South Carolina's Kamilla Soares Cardoso will play for Brazil.

The Cardoso stuff fits the non-Cyclone thread but got me thinking about what the status of Stephanie Soares is. She's 12-13 months post ACL. She was on the Brazil team previously. Wonder if she is going to play for Brazil, or make the team, for the Olympics games this summer?

Sooner about to finish off KSU and move Sooners into first place.

Fox announcers have sort of turned the game into a 40 minute Madison Booker lovefest. She is having a good game, 20 pts and 6 assists. But she's also added 7 TOs which is pretty much her m.o. each game but she isn't a PG and having to play PG so I can't diss her too much for that.

For what it's worth, Stephanie Soares is on Brazil's preliminary roster of 15 players. I think it needs to be cut down to 12 though. Per these links:

Since we are in the home stretch, it is interesting how injuries, team development, and luck have made this Preseason Prediction on CBS Sports look off. Oklahoma has 1st place for now but has maybe three challenges remaining. We need some wins! Sooners are at TCU before our tilt at Hilton this Saturday. I have not watched a full OKL game so I don't know Baranczyk's team. We usually play them tough at home. Oklahoma's win streak is six!

Fennelly has said that Stephanie is in Brazil with their national team trying to have the team qualify for the Olympics.

BYU with a 12-point win at home over Baylor.

Cincinnati won by 6 at UCF. UCF was 3-19 from 3, including 1-8 in the 2nd half and 0-6 in the 4th qtr.

OU beat TCU by 17 in Norman.

One game tomorrow night (Houston at Kansas) in advance of a nearly-full slate on Saturday.

Is it some damned curse that everyone that plays ISU goes off from three?

When BF ‘plays percentages’ he dares non traditional great 3 point shooters shoot. They often catch lightning in a bottle cause they are often WIDE open.

I watched a good portion of the UCF - Cinci game - UCF had pretty much the same looks against Cinci as they did against us - they just missed them (and most were not close). Cinci was playing the same zone we did for the whole time I watched.
