WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Just announced… Harmon tore her ACL and will miss the rest of the season.

What a strange way to get injured.
Harmon was injured in Wednesday's shoot-around before that night's 97-52 win over Jackson State and she did not play.

Some ISU opponent scores tonight:
  • St Thomas improves to 7-6 with a 95-76 win over North Dakota
  • NDSU improves to 6-6 with a 84-69 win at South Dakota
  • Vanderbilt improves to 12-1 with a 73-41 win over Fairleigh Dickinson

  • Informative

Women and ACL tears it’s scary how often it happens especially with no contact. Daughters teammate tore hers in hitting line warmup VB. Soares no contact injury.

Here's something you don't see everyday, a team adding an entirely new player to their roster at the semester break. OSU added Emilee Ebert to their roster. She played four years at KSU and had her COVID year left and will use that for Big 12 league play at OSU.

"Our team has had some unfortunate and bad luck that you hope you never have to deal with throughout the course of a season. Our staff has worked hard to find the right player and person we trust to be able to come in and make a positive impact for us," Hoyt said.
"We have been battling with very limited numbers and Emilee will help fill a void for us. I have known and respected her since I recruited her in high school. It is a rare opportunity to get someone of her character, ability and experience at this time of year. She's going to be a much needed addition for the Cowgirls!"

Boo this schedule. A week or so with nothing and than two games I want to see conflict with our Cyclones 2:00 game. Guess I'll watch my Gophers for the first half, maybe stream it on the side for the 2nd half. Think it's going to be a close game.

And rare Texas home game not on that damn Longhorn Network.

DSM Register had a pretty good review of the Gophers in their game preview of Gophers @ Iowa today.

Woof. Iowa is smoking the Gophers early. Gophers totally out of sync on offense and getting shredded on defense. Good early game plan by Iowa taking it to the hoop in the paint than got hot from three.

Think the crowd has gotten into the head of the young Gophers....playing way too fast for their preferred style.

All four newbies lose their Big 12 openers, with only Houston losing by single digits.
