WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

What ceases to amaze me over the last few days is all the Iowa fans who the minute they see a high profile transfer in the portal, they want them. This week, they wanted Aneesah Morrow (DePaul), Sedona Prince (Oregon), Lauren Betts (Stanford), and now it's VanLith.

They have fans and Chad out actively promoting dumping current players to bring in transfers because they know everyone is just dying to play with CC. There is the mentality that they are suddenly a top tier program after a Final Four run. Nothing like being a current Iowa player that doesn't play much or was hurt and your fan base wants you gone.



Two of the players (Morrow and VanLith) they want are most likely looking for somewhere to go the be the star, because they are not going to be the star at Iowa. Czinano was the perfect compliment for CC, because she didn't need the spotlight like CC does.

If you bring in two post players, you are telling your current two that played (O'Grady and Stulke) that you are always going to be a role player after we counted on you to help get us to the national championship game. Throw in they have a commitment for a 6-4 post in their 2024 class, so what does that say to her?

Did Chad ever think that some of those girls that played with her before didn't enjoy that experience.

Good point, I'm sure Betts hated every second of winning a gold medal for Team USA specifically because Clark was on the team. I bet she would have enjoyed it more if Donarski hadn't been cut in tryouts.

Iowa is seeing a upsurge in season wbb tkt inquiries they put a pause on their new tkt list till they find out their renewal rate from current season tkt holders. It has no bearing on ISU season tkts. If you are a current season tkt holder you will get your renewal email late spring early summer. If you would like to purchase season tkts contact the A.D. they will get you on the list, then you will be able to buy them at the appropriate time.

Iowa fans are incredibly fair weather. I think the only groups that consistently sell well are FB and wrestling. I believe you are correct that their fan base will disappear once clarkomania is over. Bluder has been ok but not spectacular until Clark arrived.

according to lesswiskey the swarm has money set aside for the wbb program and will have every portal player wanting to go there and having blunder as their coach is a good thing. just have to get rid of a couple of players. ISU has no chance in the future getting any players for wbb as eiu is now a dominant program on the national level.

Between transfers and incoming recruits OU is going to be finde despite what they lost to graduation. Glad they are only a problem for one more year.
