Elkhorn North's Britt Prince narrows college choices to 11 — including Nebraska, Creighton

Elkhorn North's Britt Prince, one of the state’s most heavily recruited high school athletes ever, has in-state schools Nebraska and Creighton on the short list.

The pared-down list of collegiate landing places for the high-scoring guard are Nebraska, Creighton, Iowa, Iowa State, Indiana, Oklahoma, Oregon, North Carolina, Baylor, USC and Louisville.

Ann Prince said her daughter had cut down that list even more but won’t go into any more specifics until planning to sign in early November.
“We’ll say it’s down to 11,” the coach said. “She wants to be a little more private about it until the end.”

Ann Prince said Britt would make an announcement by the early signing date of Nov. 8.
“I anticipate she’ll probably make that decision by the end of October, if not sooner,” she said.

Is my luck as bad as yours? Do you get the queasy unease thinking we recruited Prince hard and we lost out? She then ends up, as several others have, in the big io with the coal dust and pyrite clad.

Big Ten is a formidable recruiting opponent, especially here in the midwest. The top of their league in WBB is really strong and when you throw in volleyball they have a very strong presence in women's sports.

Will be interesting to see how NU competes here. Wondering if Huskers and Creighton are tokens in her final group.

I saw that in the linky you provided. Huskers aren't a BAD program but seem to be falling just short of getting back to where they were or where they want to be.

I wouldn't necessarily put her above or below anyone else on that list. Mathematically, that makes her a long shot just because there are eleven teams listed. My gut feeling is higher than that -- more like 20%-30% than 9% -- but I don't have anything to base that on.

I think someone asked a similar question on Bristow and I gave a similar answer, and then she chose us.

I have no inside information at all, but I feel like we have a good shot at Prince. Just a feeling from when she did her visit earlier this year.

The only way I can make this post make sense is to conclude that you've confused Ann Prince for Anna Prins.
