Walking Dead

This had the potential to be a pretty moving storyline. As it turns out...lame.

Yep. It takes all the emotional impact out of the scene on the bridge when they basically repeat the dumpster. The episode was actually quite good otherwise.

I'll wait to judge until I can see what they come up with, but based on gimple's previous poor direction of the series, I am not confident.

Fear the walking dead was excellent in season 3, then they pushed a stupid Morgan crossover effectively ruining FtWD and Morgan. This season has been decent so far, and as a comic reader, I am excited for the next challenge they face.

I liked the episode. Wish it would’ve just ended with Rick dying there while being the hero though.

For someone who’s never seen the comic. Who’s the people in the helicopter and do they have a pretty big role in the future?

I've read all but the latest 6 months of comics and there's not an exact 1:1 matchup for the helicopter (there's a possibility though) There is an incredible new enemy force to replace Negan soon along this timeline of the agrarian back to basics culture that would be very fresh and different from Negan, show could be good if they use it.

This season has been better so far than the last two but who knows from here.

I think it's interesting what they are doing on the show. I quit reading the comics when they 2.0'd and had the time jump. In the comics, Carl steps up and seems to be becoming a main character. It sounds like Judith may be filling the role. I think all of this is interesting, but I'm just curious to see what they do it with it, because they have a new showrunner and are clearly doubling down on the show.

I am not going to complain too much, this season has actually been fairly watchable.

Judith Grimes was so bad ass it was damn near funny. Almost cried when I saw Scott Wilson (Herschel).

Figured Negan was playing Maggie, but I guess with this time jump, he is on a really, really long con.

Would have been nice to have Carl or Glen on a cameo. Oh well.

No interest in watching any Rick Grimes made for TV movies.

Yeah, I was actually disappointed when they talked about the movies and side projects. Over-saturation happened (for me) when FTWD started. I fear (pun) this will do the same. That stinks because this has been a very good season.

This season has been so much better than the prior 3 or so seasons...MUCH better. The time jump will be interesting to see what has changed and how everything is handled.

I think the movies could end up fine. I wonder what other projects they are thinking of because Gimple said they have content for like a decade.

Something weird happened tonight - we had it recording on TIVO while we fixed supper. Came in to watch it and had some bizarre Three Stooges clip. My TIVO recorded the 3 minute clip then quit, and labeled the clip "The Walking Dead". Didn't find this out until the show had been running for 15 minutes. So not only did we NOT get to FF through the endless commercials, we missed the first 15 minutes. Boo that.

FANTASTIC EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!

Best in years, completely back on track with comics but still with some of the subtle differences to keep me watching.

Anyone with any doubts about the final scene, trust me you are being silly to think it's anything but awesome. Trust me.
