Seems like a good recruit but not as highly recruited as he once was but still a really good recruit. I think though that Linderbaum will end up the highest rated instate recruit when all is said and done.

Good late pick up for Iowa.
We don’t have a lot of room left, but he may have been worth it. It’s always hard to know with lineman.
Yeah, that's what's weird about it. Defensive linemen are always a precious commodity in recruiting because there just aren't many good ones out there. From what I'm gathering ISU didn't really have him as a top priority, so I wonder if there was some red flag that scared them off. I just feel like they would have fought harder to land him if they really believed he'd eventually be a significant contributor.
False. Plenty of high profile schools were still after him in the last week. Its been pretty obvious since the summer that Iowa was going to be the school for him.I heard he did not look explosive anymore and a lot of schools cooled on him. One of my Hawk buddies (that follows their recruiting hard) said he thinks they may switch him to OLine
Imo he is good enough to take back when we had 20 open scholarships. But when you only have a few left, there are just guys we like or need more.Yeah, that's what's weird about it. Lol, you’re not familiar with recruiting, are you?False. Plenty of high profile schools were still after him in the last week. Its been pretty obvious since the summer that Iowa was going to be the school for him.

Yep. That doesn’t mean other schools completely stopped recruiting him, but he became a backup plan for most P5s.Everything I heard was he was waiting on certain offer/s and those fell through. He waited too long and other schools filled up or cooled off with him, even Iowa for a bit, and when Iowa "reofferred" he grabbed it.

Backup plans can workout. Good luck to the kid playing for Bryan Ferentz.

So you'd rather have a lower rated guy whose only other offer was New Mexico. Bold strategy Cotton.
No red flags with Waggoner, he just didn't progress as expected and they moved him down their boards and filled up his position.
The hawk fan is worried we are going to land the better prospect.Sounds like Iowa a grayshirt offer
Looks like it was indeed a bold strategy, and one that paid off…literally. As McDonald is now making millions and Waggoner gets invited to a mini campSo you'd rather have a lower rated guy whose only other offer was New Mexico. Bold strategy Cotton.
**** IowaA 6 year grudge... Impressive commitment

I never said he was a POS (nor did my source who relayed the info about his interview) and I never said it was “the worst interview ever.” It’s okay to let it go. Do betterNot bad for a guy that had the worst interview ever and was considered a POS.
