Sources say that DE Wagoner will attend Iowa. He is rated 4star, and ISU wanted him, but did our three man front on defense help to sway him to go east. Not every player can handle the DE in a three, with the OT and OG to go through. Never saw him play, so would like an honest opinion.

Very good high school player. Very odd recruitment. I don't know if ISU out and out passed on him, but it sure doesn't seem like they made a real hard push to get him either. Good luck to him.

A lot of schools cooled on him. I thought I heard Iowa was one of them, but apparently not

I thought I read that we had cooled on him the past couple weeks. Could be wrong. When was Campbell or Veidt visited him?

We told him we weren't going to take another DL a while ago. There was some speculation a week or two ago we might have been interested again but ultimately passed

Good late pick up for Iowa.

We don’t have a lot of room left, but he may have been worth it. It’s always hard to know with lineman.

Looked like the very definition of a big 10 d linemen. Big strong but slow.

Still would've been a great pick up for us, but he might eventually move to DT

Correct. Iowa cooled on him and Kirk told him around a week ago, they didn’t have a spot for him. A few people changed their crystal balls to ISU but we weren’t set on taking a DL. Would we if he wanted to? Probably.

Iowa came back 2 days ago saying they had a spot for him now which led to today’s commitment.

I’ve heard all season about how he didn’t have a great year and how schools were cooling on him. I’m sure Kirk will turn him into an All BIG player before he is done. Would have liked to get him, but I’m not heartbroken and I trust the staff

He didn’t show enough domination in Iowa HS football for me and I feel like his max out isn’t as high as a guy like nelson that I wish we could have held on to.
