Really liking the minutes Ashton has given in the first half. Has played smart and his 'guy' has yet to even take a shot. I know it's a really small smaple but we MAY be able to a little deeper after all

Not that I blame you - I like that he's doing his job on both ends of the floor.
If he can keep this play up, he'll be in the rotation going forward with Hallice.
His half reminded me a lot of the role Babu had a couple years ago. Effort and take what the Defense gives him when focused on the other players. Gaining Prohm's trust.

I really like how he's playing. Ashton is doing exactly what's asked of him and isn't trying to be any more than what he has to be.
I don't think he is as good as Bubu, but his shooting alone should be getting him time. Add in the fact he is a competent defender and Prohm needs to figure out how to play him. I thought he was better than a couple of our scholarship guards this summer.
Shoots better than Bubu, I think Bubu better on defense, haven't seen Ashton play much man yet.
The kid is playing with some confidence and showing some hustle on D, which is needed. So far so good.

He will add at least one more three each game all the way to the national title.
He might even double them every game and become very effective.

Couple small mistakes like not spreading out a fast break leading to a turnover, but he seems like an option going forward. Gives the opportunity to play smaller with Nader playing the 4.
Ashton did exactly what HC needs to do. Hit some shots and play defense...come to think of it that's exactly what Burton needs to do too.
