Vikings-Bears at the UNI-Dome? (link)

Not sure if you've noticed, but the Pats also play outdoors. The Vikes do not, hence the advantage to Chi-town.

Well, the Pats do play outside, and winters in New England are pretty cold and snowy.

EDIT: Jinx.

Just pointing out that the Bears sucked outside last week. But yeah, they'll still smoke the Vikings:shocked:

And they would use the Badgers stadium before either.

they would need a decision ASAP then. Supposed to take 4-5 days to prep the UofM stadium with all the snow they got. I think the whole reason the UNI-dome was brought up is because it's ready to go right now and is a drivable distance for those who got screwed out of last week.

Fargo Dome seats 19,000 and is drivable as well. Won't happen in either case. It is either Metrodome or TCF Bank Stadium. If game is moved to TCF Bank Stadium, then Vikings will FULL refunds to all original ticket holders who wish a refund.

That will take care of the difference in capacity IMO. Temps around 10 degrees with Wind Chills around 0 degrees and a night game is not real appealing to the average fan that is used to sitting in relative comfort in the Metrodome. I would fully expect at least 15,000 refund requests at least.

Yup. They'll probably take care of the capacity issue if the weather is as sucky as it's predicted to be. Fans aren't going to freeze their ***** off to watch a floundering Vikings team lose.

No. UNI could never move up to I-A (I refuse to use this new FBS/FCS naming convention whatever the hell it is) because the dome isn't large enough. But they could host I-A teams there if they wanted.
The UNI-Dome actually has 300 more seats than Division I Idaho's Kibbie Dome.

That was so dumb....Could you imagine the vikings in that Garage with the door shut before they came out to 16,000 fans for an NFL game. How many suites does the UNI dome have???

Is Idaho under capacity for FBS, or is UNI over capacity for FCS?

This is a link to the requirements for a school to become an FBS school. You have to have an average attendance of 15,000 for all home football games for a two year period. Also, I think the requirement for an FBS stadium is 13,000, but I'm not positive.

If you look closely at the article, Villanova does not make the list but they are in talks with the Big East of moving up to FBS.

Could conference expansion bump any FCS schools to FBS?
